are ya sure about that?

If you have a contract with someone, and they break it, do you still have to abide by the broken contract, for your contractual obligations?

I think we're dealing with someone very young and ill-informed here. Young like our Marine, who wasn't exactly ill-informed; by virtue of experience.

952 11-16-2004 06:08 PM

I didnt know there was a contract? Do you have a copy?

No they dont have many buildings because the bombings have levelled them.

Show of hands please... how think Iraq invaded the US on 9/11?

Terrorists, Skippy. We are in a war against terrorism and the only way to stop it is to KILL all the terrorists.

Are you just now reading Kerry's campaign speeches.

Lame.

An opposing view does not make someone ill-informed. Please detial exactly how the comments and questions I have raised are ill-informed.

oooooh war on "terror", do you think invading a country killing tens of thousands of innocent civilians and bombing them for months is a form of terror?

So terror is just in Iraq at the moment, what about Iran? not going there? Why not?

Very good. There is no contract.

Since you like aphorisms; All is fair in love & war. (unless you have a contract)

952 11-16-2004 06:13 PM

Ok thats odd... so we proved your metaphor was wrong. Geneva Convention applies right?

Bush sent these boys to their death. No one else.

Actually I have merely defended the possibility that the soldiers are innocent. I haven't passed judgement either way. I will be quick to defend our countrymen that are in combat, however, based on the knowledge that you can't judge a man's life on 30 seconds of video. I'll also give them the benefit of the doubt until I know the whole story-unlike you.

As for Bush-anyone that knows anything about me knows that I think Bush is the wrong man for the job and that we should not be in Iraq. That's a difference in opinion on policy. Aside from that, I would say that a great deal more than 52% of us agree that we will back our soldiers 100%. As a matter of fact, until you chimed in, only two felt otherwise-and left.

I'd volunteer and have no regrets.

You are not ill-informed because of your opposing view. While 'holding a view' and 'being informed' can be related, they can also exist independent of one and other.

Fair enough... I wonder why they left? Given the amount of angry posts directed at me, I can guess why they need the group mentality not to get attacked.

metaphor and aphorism are not the same.

I submit the view that you are indeed, ill-informed.

Obviously... still waiting on the analysis I asked for proving the ill-informed state.
