I've got no problem with the soldier's actions.

It will probably not be one of his proudest moments, should he be lucky enough to live through his tour of duty and live to a ripe old age to reminisce about his experience, but I see nothing "criminal" about it. Doesn't make a good "war story", that's all.

We've lost how many in this assault so far-has it hit 50? I'm thinking that the guys walking into the buildings filled with bad guys are wondering if one of them isn't really just "playing" dead like the guy that capped his buddy the day before.

Unbelievable. So the soldiers are pawns or robots - work one way and not the other? They can be shot dead in ambushes? Shot in the back? Shot by enemies waving white flags? But a guy whose just witnessed his mates get blown apart by a booby-trapped dead body the day before has no means doing what he did?

Believe me, I'm not for this war. I hate every aspect of it. But I do put some understanding in human nature, and I'm certain given similar circumstances many people would have done the same as this man.

Did you know the military did control that footage? They were who edited out the names of the soldiers on their backs, and the man's head getting blown apart against the wall. So, yes, they had the footage first, but released it to the public.
