I have no double standards:

1. If you served your time, you can vote. That's how Michigan does it, Florida does not. I say Michigan has it right.

2. If a person is guilty of robbing banks, do you as a bank hire them? They do it all the time and call it security consultation..........................this is not the case with Diebold/ES&S. The difference is the bank robber is not counting the banks money. The bank robber does not become the president or VP of the bank.

I hope this clears it up.

Island911, I trust you see the hypocritical flaws in
bryanthompson's argument and do not hope to defend it.

Well, bush was willing to put felons into his administration, after his dad pardoned them of course.

Whats the matter with puting people who have been convicted of lying about giving arms and money to middle eastern terrorists working in the national security office anyways?

After reading the response from the usual list of bush apologists I think these people should put their money where their mouth is by hiring convicted embezzlers as their accountants and money managers.

1. If you served your time, you can vote.

2. If you served your time, you can NOT work on vote counting machines.

. . .that's what you are saying. (?)

With out a doubt, you have a double standard here.

Believe it or not, I'm on your side here, about touch-screen machines being a bad idea. But this argument you are defending is rediculous.

I truely hope that this electronic voting goes away . . but attacking this method because some people working on the machines have criminal records is going nowhere; fast. Especially, when you would give others w/ criminal records the okay to effect the vote. . . w/ a touchy-feely "they've paid there debt to society" P'lease.

WHat; do you want to take work away from people, just because they screwed-up once? . . or twice? . . . or three times? YOU BAD BAD MAN.

Good idea, I'd like to see this happen.
