Evolutionary disconnect 30,000 years ago? I don’t think so. There are fossils of current humans much earlier than that.

Anatomically modern humans are classified as Homo sapiens sapiens. Every human today belongs to this variety of Homo sapiens. They first began to appear 120,000-100,000 years ago in association with technologies not unlike those of the early Neandertals. It is now clear that they did not come after the Neandertals but were their contemporaries.

I thought the age of man has gone from 100,000 (1970's) to 500,000 (1980's) to one million (1990's), to 1.5 milliion to over 2 million now.

Your mind to my mind.;)

You might be right. I only checked one source. Science is ever changing as more and more facts become evident. It's part of the process. But we agree that humans are substantially older than 30,000 years.

(I was going to try to photo shop a picture of some hand bones, touching the chin and cheek in appropriate Vulcan style, onto one of those skulls, but I gave up when I realized I’d need a picture of hand bones with a transparent background. Plus, I’m not particularly good with photo editors…)

So "Kang" is a Star Trek/Klingon reference then?

There are a few Trekies lurking around this forum.SmileWavy
