You guys are twisted. That is the worst crap ever. And who isn't sick of Henry Rollins rantings yet. Spoken word is garbage.

A Seattle station, KMTT 103.7 The Mountain, has been playing tracks on their drive-time "5:20 funny". I think it's a little weird, but amusing in it's own twisted way. I just form a mental image of Captain Kirk when I hear it, with Spock standing in front of him with that "dumbass humans..." look on his face.

This is considered "good music"? Man am I out of touch. I'm hoping this was a joke and I'm just slow from my bender last night.

Yes I listened to the whole thing and no I don't forgive you

Well, I haven't heard Shatner's stuff (don't want to), but WTF is going on with Ben Folds producing it? I saw the Ben Folds Five play their very first gig in a local bar here a few years back, and I used to work with his mom...he is one talented musician imo! I remember when he was just another local 'geek' hanging out drinking beer .

ps: I also saw Derek Trucks play his first public gig (at the ripe old age of 9 years)...it's great to catch the talented ones before they are 'known'.

I have no best songs. If something is on and it is pleasing to my ear I listen. That is the expent of me musical taste. I don't know band members names, album covers, etc...

That doesn't mean I don't enjoy music or the other arts for that matter, just that I don't "care" about them if that makes any sense.

I fear I am clinically "unhip". Really.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing him live on Jay Leno, a month or so ago...

I liked those Priceline commercials with the band that Shatner used to do a couple of years ago.

I actually think "Has Been" is a pretty good album.. Of course you have to take it in context, however I find that the spoken word bits are quite insightful..

I also think it's nice that in at least some way the US is introduced to the music of Pulp. (Common People) It's a shame the band never got the popularity here that they had in Europe. I highly reccommend "Different Class" and "His And Hers" by Pulp.

Shatner cracks-me-up.

Ben Folds isn't exactly Platinum material - no sorry loss.

Bill Shatner, however, is something else. After all, this is the guy who came to the conclusion (with Spock) to shout "well, a double dumbass on you!!!" to a cabbie in the streets of San Francisco a la 1986.

I was a child of the '80s - and yet had a respect for the Star Trek following of the '60s.......go figure.

Check out some good sound clips from Star Trek IV on

You got that right. Shatners/Jacksons cover of Pulps "Common People" is absolutely brilliant.

But I am now desperately sick of hearing it.

Maybe I missed it? Is it supposed to be:

1. Comical?

2. Aurally pleasing?

3. Intellectually stimulating?

I am guessing comedy.
