Let's see Ca had 630 inmates on death row in January 2004 (15 of them women). Since 1977 only 10 inmates have been executed (all men).


There are 3,471 inmates in the US on death row as of January 2004. Since 1996 only 930 have been executed.

I agree - based on circumstantial evidence I would have a hard time convicting on 1st degree murder much less assigning death.

What are you so upset about Super? You & I both know he'll die of old age before he gets the needle in California. Oregon also has the so-called "death penalty". Since it was reimposed decades ago, the only people executed (all of 2, I think. correct me if I'm wrong.) were those who voluntarily gave up their appeals options. The only thing this sentence serves as far as justice is concerned is that inmates prefer to not be in the solitary existence of death row...

They did him a favor, put him in the general population, and have the guards look the other way. Appearently even inmates have an honor code, and baby killers are at the very bottom. Lethal injection is way to kind for that man. Save the taxpayers a fortune too!

Many a case has been won on circumstantial evidence. Unfortunately we don't have the gps chip implants and ubiquitous video....yet.

I for one think he was guilty but was very surprised of the "first degree verdict". And the part of circumstantial evidence, didn't they have more phyical evidence against O.J.? I am more confused now on how the judical system works.

the Death Penalty is revenge...in most cases I'm not for it....however people like ole Charlie sittin up in the Pelican is wasting valuable oxygen and should have been done away with except for a Bird and her flock...

This whole case was a terrible tragedy, a woman and her child died.

Unfortunately, it happens every day, why is this case so significant?

I liked how the Saudis took care of their condemned prisoners. One month after a sentance of death, the condemned is sedated, led out to the public square in Riyadh, and publicly beheaded.

The best part of this thread is that the chief left-wing snivellers are first in line calling for tortire, etc. Would any of you calling for this be willing to be the torturer?

Don't get me wrong, Peterson is a pos & should die. I just found it amusing to see who was calling for all this viciousness.
