We lost an amazing woman yesterday, Angela, our own Laneco

I just read her husband Steve's post on FB that our beloved Angela, Laneco, passed away yesterday. There is a giant hole in our community and in my heart with her no longer with us. What an amazing woman she was. I honestly don't know what to say except it was such a wonderful privilege to have known her, an honor to have her as a friend. Words fail me.

"To all that cared about Angela Rose/Lane this is her spouse Steve. Angela had been fighting the Covid for just over the last 2weeks in the ICU. Angela passed away Friday morning just before 7 AM it was quick and she had Shelby and Ryan her kids with at the end to support her and give her love she deserved. I don't know what more to say then I will miss her she was and is the love of my life. Thank you Steven Lane"

Speechless.

I never met her but we interacted on a possible business deal for her. Always looked up to her. What a tragedy.

I’m numb.

Oh man, this is horrible. She was one of the really great posters/members here.

Super sad.

Wow, what a major bummer.

2021 is NOT a good year.

Oh my God... no. Just "no". This just cannot be... One of the finest people I have ever been privileged to meet. I was really looking forward to visiting with her at the Emory Campout this year but, alas, Gary cancelled out of an abundance of caution. I thought "fine, I'll see everyone next year..."

Not "everyone" anymore... I just cannot believe this... Steve, Shelby, and Ryan are in my prayers.

I am speechless. Gutted. One of the best and brightest among us, I was hoping someday to meet her.

My condolences to Steve and Laneco's whole family.

We were certainly lucky to have Angela as a Pelican.
I always read her posts with interest.
Steve must be a heck of a guy to have won her heart.
Angela, we will miss you.
Peace to your family.

This is hard to believe.

My condolences to her family, and to those of you here that knew her as a friend.

Angela is (and will always be) the best of Pelican. We’ve lost a very special person. Make room in your hearts for her family.

Angela was the best of us.

All I can think of is the poem:

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message She Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

She was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

W.H. Auden
