Compact digital cameras
Hello needing some advice here which I think may help others also. Basically I need a good compact digital camera. I work as a photographer and have stopped snapping out of hours which I hate (mainly due to having digital slr's which you can't exactly take on nights out etc). I don't want a bulky camera it needs to be compact and at least 4mp. I use Nikon daily but don't like there compacts. I like Olympus and Sony and I am interested to hear pros and cons or any amazing ones value wise etc. Any help appreciated!

We have had a Canon S330 for about 3 years now - it's getting a bit aged but it has been providing us with fantastic performance.
We love it; they have even smaller higher res models out now and having looked at them I would love to buy one. This one just works so well.

I just bought my wife a Sony for her birthday yesterday. I hope I made the right choice??? I really liked the speed and the larger display. Also, it has a manual mode and one can attach different lenses.

I have a Sony DSC-T1
Pros - small, about the size of a deck of cards lens cover doubles as a power switch, very slick docking cradle/charger very slick Cons- I like the pics from my old Nikon or the Canon S series better My brother has a Canon S400 Pros - small, about the size of a deck of cards, but bigger than the Sony takes great pics Cons- no lens cover, the lens is vulnerable to dirt and scratching

I like a small camera that I can hold (and snap a picture) with one hand.
Many of the small, are too damn small . . . you end up holding them with both hands. . . .usually both hands so you can move fingers from zoom to the shutter, and back . .. w/o dropping the damn thing. The Canon A85 A95 are good. Small enough, and use standard batteries, standard memory. . .. .and good one-hand ergonomics.

Minolta Dimage XT - tiny - one hand use - internal zoom lens and a flash, sd cards looks cool in black. Carry it everywhere.
Steves Digicams review page for the XT http://www.steves-digicams.com/2003_reviews/dimagext.html here's a result (dropped in size to upload)
