So why are you still single?
 

Just realized that most of my Porsche buddies are single dudes in their late 20s, 30s and 40s. I know why some of them are unattached ( none would have them or they have a face for radio):D What about you? Still waiting for the right woman? Do you play for the other team? Do you long for a woman of the 90s.... the 1890s? Seriously, you like to have fun, are adventurous, spontaneous, have good jobs, quick wit and, heck, some of you even have class. So why are you still single?

Divorce got in the way of my 23rd wedding anniversary last February. Feels pretty good. Lots of nice ladies out there. This is a no-brainer. I am not signaling any intent to find a replacement, but tryouts are ongoing nonetheless.

I had a falling out with my last g/f over the Porsche & shop: she equated the time I spent out there as cheating. I'm not making this up. She was quite the enigma: a teach and a musician, yet almost as hard-core conservative as recale

With the fiberglass fabrication projects, I haven't had time to hunt. I have a small harem of temps that I cycle through on a regular basis, so there's no big hurry to get out there and find some new chick and her attendant BS.

She sounds like quite a catch, except for the possesiveness part.

Chicks seem to hunt me down, actually. I haven't had to actually go out of my way to get a date since I don't remember when. Perhaps I should be less extravagant -- beautiful women will not always be in such great supply, I'm sure. (shrug) If one comes along who's worth keeping, I'll stick with her, I suppose. For now, the rental program is working fine though. :)

If I am here, I must first admit that I am single. My reason(s) for being single.

(1) Still haven't found what I am looking for (U2 song)
(2) Not really looking, hoping fate will help somewhere
(3) Attracting the wrong types for me
(4) Plenty of other reasons but my luck is improving gradually.

cause i am a jackass. ive run off evey woman thats ever meant a thing to me, and i pretty much don't mind. i have a low maintenance girl that i hit once a week or so, lives 50 miles away and is pretty cool. would not have it any other way. could i spend $3k on my car in the last 4 months if i had to ask my wife? think not.

most of my old friends are married and seem pretty happy. its just not for me. now a mail order bride? thats an option... dinner papasaun, laundry done papasaun, sucky/fu(ky papasaun, you maka me sooo horny papsaun.

Toby, you crack me up. Listen, I was stationed for a year in South Korea while in the air force and there was a lot of that going around. The GIs bring their brides back to the US and some think nothing will change. Were they in for a rude awakening. Once they have their green card, it's bye-bye GI.

Hate to admit it, but you're right ('cept they were younger, not older). Had to cut this one loose because of the constant "you should buy a [bigger house|newer car|bigger TV|(biggerbetterfastermoreexpensive toy here)" - this from someone who @ 22 was almost $40k in debt. But not before knocking the bottom out of for several months :) She worked at the loan department at my bank, and when I called to get a personal loan for a 930 I was looking at buying (got the loan, couldn't agree on a price for the 930). When we got to the 'income' portion of the phone application process (pre dot-com bust) she was all over me like white on rice. Fish in a barrel when she thought she'd found a sugar daddy. Then again, she was willing to put on a swimsuit and wash my 911...
