Ye Olde Baby Seat Question

87 Targa.

Anyone know of a moderately priced baby seat currently on the market that will fit with a little massaging/cutting in the back seat?

I have a couple Brittax Wizards for the daily cars and there is no way they are going to fit.

I've got a Graco in the 993 for my little guy. It had good ratings, and dropped right in. I think (but am not sure) that the dimensions of the 3.2 and 993 are the same. I'll get the model number tonight if you need it. It was $70-80.

When my daughter was born in 2000, I called the local dealership looking for seat info for my '65 356 and my mom's 84 911. No luck for the 356 (of course,,, heck, don't even have seat belts) but Porsche offers a seat designed to fit in the 911 for $150 or so. May be worth a phone call...

Thanks guys,

A model # of the seat would be helpful.

Century Breverra such as this one:

http://www.babysheaven.com/html/Century/44892.html

Rounded base, fits well in rear seat, works well as booster seat, with the child secured with stock 3-point belt.

However, the stock 3-point belt is mounted too far forward to secure a child seat directly, using the slots in the back rest. To secure the child seat directly, consider a shield-type seat.

(When my son was 2-4 y/o and needed to be secured using the child seat's 5-point harness, I used this seat, buckled the harness around him and then used the stock 3-point belt to secure both him and the seat. With a "H-clip" on the belt. Worked, but I'm not claiming it is the recommended method.)

There have been a ton of threads on this, do a search for lots more info.

I will have to look but I think all the Comfort Sports use the same shell just different coverings.

Stay away from the leather as it gets hot as hell and makes your little one sweat like a pig. The one I have I paid $89 for at babies r us.

Ditto the Comfort Sport, fits right into the 951, which I think has the same rear seats as a 911. Can't wait until he's a little older though, so we can actually scoot the passenger seat back, the child seat really takes up the space. I suppose that's what the 4Runner is for, isn't it?

We where out driving in the car the day he was born. We still joke he wanted out so he could see what was making all that noise.

His first offical ride was when he was 4 weeks old. As I said before he loves it and I fear I have ruined his life for ever.... or at least his wallet and free time
