That has to be the most biased news "reporter"/anchorman/interviewer I've ever heard. Never mind the fact that indeed the interviewee is indeed a moron, the interviewer should at least put on the pretense of neutrality. Fox "news" sucks.

Your obvious ignorance on this shows why "Fox News" is vilified by those that have no idea what it is. Hannity is NOT a reporter, anchorman, or anything of the like. He is a commentator. A right wing commmentaor that is paid to express his conservative opinion for entertainment value. The other guy(Colmbs) is his left wing counterpart that is paid to express his liberal opinion for entertainment value. Get it? It is NOT a news report, and if he was "neutral" they would fire him for not doing his job.

Man, how do people generate such powerful opinions on these things, especially when they have no idea what they are talking about?

I've never watched the show before, nor heard of the commentator. We don't get fox news here, at least not that I know of. I have read several fox "news" stories, though, so I'm not entirely unfamiliar with it.

I think, however, my "obvious ignorance" could be forgiven, considering the screen had not one but two logos clearly reading "FOX NEWS"; this *would* lead me to believe I was watching a news program.

And some on the right have the audacity to call other media sources "biased?"

This channel "claims" to be fair and balanced.

Now I do agree, the interviewee is a total schmuck, but that's some of the most unprofessional interviewing I've ever seen.

There's a reason informed people call it "Faux News."

Didn't you guys read Lendaddy's post? The guy is a COMMENTATOR, not a REPORTER. Commentators are by their very charter supposed to be skewed. He is by his very essence leaning in one direction....that's the whole point!

With this kind of "lean", perhaps FOX needs to change their slogan! This is not "fair and balanced."

OMG that was so unprofessional...how does this guy keep his job? How can people enjoy watching that crap? I agree the interviewee is a total schmuck, but OMG.....

I was responding to what felt like an attack on me - I'd never seen the program or heard of the commentator, and judging by the 2 logos on the screen, assumed I was watching a clip from a news program. I think that's a fair assumption.

In spite of this, I think he still was very unprofessional. Commentators in a program like this most definitely need a bias, or else it would be boring, but this guy was basically berating the interviewee. What's the point in asking questions if you're not going to listen to the answer? I can see why people might want to watch this - many dogmatic people like to have their beliefs confirmed by TV, and I'd say that applies equally to the left or right. It's just not news, though. News and entertainment are 2 completely different things, at least they should be. The only time they should cross paths are when discussing who Brad Pitt is sleeping with this week.

I might be adding fuel to the fire, but I've never understood why left and right have to be opposite. Why can't each side admit the other may have good points about some issues?

Honestly, why does this kill you? Because a couple people have pointed out that a channel that claims to be "fair and balanced" is anything but? I disagree that it's really an entertainment show. It's done under the guise of what I believe is referred to as a "news magazine" show. This interviewer gave the interviewee a verbal smack down. The point of a news magazine show is to delve deeper into an issue, which a regular 6:00 newscast doesn't have time for. The point of an interview is to ask questions and hopefully discover more subtle points about an issue. Berating your interview subject does not even attempt to accomplish that task.

If it's "entertainment" then maybe it shouldn't be on a cable "news" channel. Fox has plenty of regular entertainment channels.

OMG, I give up. Yep, Hannity is a bad reporter My head hurts. Go watch Keith Olberman for fair reporting, or how about McEnroe? Unbelievable, really, wow............

Sorry to make your head hurt - I don't mean any disrespect, just disagreed with what you were saying, and how you said it.

No idea who Keith Olberman or McEnroe are. I get the vast majority of my news from the CBC - an arms-length crown corporation that doesn't have to answer to either the government or to shareholders to justify ratings, and thus I believe to be the most unbiased (and unsensationalist) news source in either Canada or the US.

Pretty strong analysis for someone who never saw one show.

Gosh, those Fox people certainly are not objective, or "fair and balanced." Care to comment, Len?

The reason that FOX News (and this show in particular) is vilified is usually because of the inherent bias built into the show... Colmes is a pussy, and doesn't represent the left very effectively. Furthermore, Hannity gets about 5x more airtime than Colmes...

Not sure if you mean strong as in accurate or strong as in opinionated. It's true I haven't seen more than the linked clip, and I could be wrong about the nature of the show. I was assuming it was similar to a show like 60 minutes, Crossfire, Meet the Press, etc.

Chris

edit for typos - d'oh.
