I only know what i read here, i can be emotional, but i am certainly not psychotic... Crazy coincidence, and a terrible thing to happen. I hope the police catch the person(s) soon. We have young children and i can only imagine how frightening that could be to his family.

pretty good idea huh?

Whomever made the threatning call and/or vandilised the 911 was engaging in what is commonly referred to in the criminal justice system as short term thinking.

Now I am really confused… the reason that this became “a public issue” was dcAutomotive’s inability to carry through with their stated transaction in a timely fashion. Four months is simply ridiculous – if they were venturing into unfamiliar territory with the title that is their problem not Andy’s (he is not responsible for their lack of experience here in regards to the used dealers license). I have gone back and reread the responses from dcAutomotive since many folks here have defended them and dcAutomotive clearly dropped the ball and expected an apology nevertheless... My guess is that the boss found out what happened here and chewed someone a new one since we clearly have a sudden change of heart!!! It is truly unfortunate that Andy had to post here to get what he originally owed from the ad. This clear failure from the representative of dcAutomotive will certainly affect their business in the future.

I dunno Daryl, the biggest mistake i made was promising an NC title to a CT car. I simply promised more then i could deliver in a timely fashion. Andy posted publically and sent us a legal notice; I hardly think he needed the lists 'opinion' after consulting his attorney...
I think he just posted it add fuel to the issue.
All that did was make people mad at me.

Andy has offered to let us buy back the car plus storage fees; We hope to wrap this all up this week. Thanks for all the kind words.

Robert

Uh, yes he did need this BBS's "opinion". He was looking for an alternative rather than taking legal action, that's why he solicited feedback here.

No you did that yourself with your post on the first page of this thread demanding an apology and retraction from Andy, and when you said you would hold his title until he did so. I think the reaction of this board would have been quite different if the "Humbled Manager" had responded on page 1 instead of on page 6 of this thread.

I'm glad that this whole ordeal is finally seeing some closure, and I hope both parties can part ways on a positive note.

Mr.Zampardi and Pelicanites,
I have accepted Mr.Zampardi's offer to buy the roller back for the full amount + $350 storage fee. I requested that the payment be sent via direct wire transfer or cashier's check by July 15th, 2005. I donot accept personal check or certified check for this particular transaction. The roller will have to be pick up within four weeks of the received date of the payment. Thanks again for all your help Pelicanites. Andy

Congratulations on the proposed resolution, flatsix.

Makes me think I need to bring my two title disputes with Pelicanites to this forum!

Uh actually no, truth is the bond we got is dated before we even got the 'lawyer letter' we were working on it in good faith, yes we did let it slide a few times. We never would have delivered the car to andy if we thought the title was going to be such a big problem; but that was our inexperience with NC DMV.
I cant honestly give pelican any credit for the resolution. It would have gotten resolved, maybe not in the same manner, but it certainly would have.
We dont hold anyone out. We do believe in good karma, what comes around goes around. Try to be fair with everyone.
We also dont have to buy the car back, nor is he entitled to any storage; but we are doing it so everyone is satisfied.

I seriously resent any implication that we had absolutely anything to do with either the calls or the damage to Andys car. We got a pretty big deal going on here, its not even a thought to do what was done to andy.

I said before i over reacted, both to the 'lawyer letter' and the simult negative attention online. But my reaction was strictly words, i was disappointed that after his legal consultation he decided to add fuel by bringing it online.
Well all in all i certainly learned something, and it will no doubt be a factor in future transactions. I believe much good came out of it. But then i tend to look at the positive side of things.

Very well....
None the less, your poor judgment and hostile attitude have shun away at least a few potential customers. Many will think twice before dealing with you after doing some research and coming across this thread...

Robert,
As Noah already mentioned, the fella who threw a brick through Andy's window did a piss poor job of covering his tracks...
Do you really want to continue discussing this in a public forum???

I have no problem discussing it in a public forum; i/we had nothing to do with the damage to the car or the call(s).
Hopefully they will catch the person(s)

A brick? nah if anything you use a broken spark plug, less noise.

The absolutely smartest thing you could do right now would be not to continue to respond on this thread and hope people have short memories.

As Noah mention the perp wasn't the brightest guy...but I prefer Andy steer the conversation in whatever way he sees fit...
