I simply disagree with your red/blue analogy. Most states that are one color or the other, are so by very small margins. Perhaps states with wide gaps would make for better comparison. Or how about red/blue countries? France for instance.......Germany....how are things going there? The US is possibly the most "red" country ever (of any consequence) and possibly the most powerful and successful as well. Can we draw any conclusions from that?

I agree that the color of the state at voting time has NOTHING to do with the prosperity of that state. As for YOUR tax dollars supporting MY failing state? Please. By what do you support this POS position? Per Capita income it seams.

Explain this then....why does the rural farmer in CO seem MUCH more happy and fulfilled making far less than the richer, money grubbing dude in CA? And why are they all moving here if life is so much more grand in said Blue state?
