Do the Republicans even know they are in power?
I was thinking about this today.
All we ever hear from the right is b*tching and moaning about what such and such is doing on the left. Which is more or less the same thing the right did when they were loosing elections. I dont think they realise that they are in power right now. Which ultimatly will be great for the country, but bad for the party. |

I don't think they have a damn clue, actually.

I think the Republicans were led in a direction only a few in the party wanted, while the rest were left in flux. I remember hearing during the last election complaints from moderate Republicans that they felt left out of the party's agenda.
I think the fracture has begun. It will be interesting to see how (and if) that fracture is mended by '08. |

I don't think anyone has a damn clue guys
Left, right, nuts, insane, in power, not in power... All of us are pretty prone to just ***** about things, mostly just for the sake of *****ing.

The best evidence was W's most recent campaign, where he promised to 'set things right' and 'cut the deficit in half.'

Illinois benefitted handsomely from that. . . My firm will likely be getting a bunch of the design work. Whoo-hoo!

I'ved said these things before and I'll say them again:
First, Republicans hate gubmint. So, electing them is like electing the anarchists. They're there to deliberately screw it up. Second, since Republicans hate gubmint, they also don't know how to run it. And finally, their current King seems to be the one United States President in the history of this country that has no idea whatsoever how you get stuff done. If you're not a deal maker, you're going to fail at each of your goals. Like Dubya is doing.

Well, I have to admit, Dubya skated on lots of things:
1. the infamous disappearing act from NG duty (daddy prolly had the records destroyed) 2. his drunken/wild life before he turned 43 ('youthful indiscretions') 3. insider trading as a board member (daddy prolly fixed it with the SEC) The closest he came to wagging his finger at the American public was just about a week ago...

Kerry at least had the nuts to go to Vietnam.
Bush showed his true colors when he weaseled his way out: Yellow. |

Since Kerry refuses to release his records...we really don't know what he did there....now do we? Apparently he has somthing pretty sinister to cover up.
Of course, Bush did release his records which showed he did not weasel out on anything....

Didn't kerry release some of his records just recently? You know, the ones that showed that he's dumber than Bush.
