Allright, enough already...
I do understand the anger, but lets let this die. Everyone step back from the keyboard.

Tech,
I also had the pleasure of meeting Souk last year at Shawn French's Charity Car Show for Austin. I was in the area for business and drove up for the weekend. This was the weekend when Shawns throttle stuck and he tweaked his front end on a curb. When Shawn's 911 made it back to his house it was barely away from the tow truck before Souk was under it accessing things. Souk is very knowledgable and a straight shooter. I am very thankfull for all the info he has shared with me on the little things that would seem trivial to most. I consider him a friend and some one I trust fully. For the record I have never met or had any dealings with Shaun. I think his actions on the Parts Board speak for themself. On another note, I have only met one other Porsche owner in all my years that truely was an ahole on this board and in person. No it was not tabs.

Well, the notes were very well written! Thank you Matt, Mark and Tim. I have also attempted to read through the various posts and frankly I became just a little bored.
This reminds me of a playground fight between 8th graders. Both guys are good men in their own right and both very passionate about what they do and believe. I read what I could. I think both you guys are really good guys so I am a bit unbiased. From what I can understand from this whole ordeal is that money or more over the definition of value is at stake. Wow! What a bad road to drive down! We can talk about our sex lives, our cars, our jobs, our God and religion, our bad experiences even our hatred for the administration. But both you guys have gotten into it about each other's livelihoods - not cool guys. Really bad form. Your both at fault here and to measure who is more at fault is fruitless. Souk - your a good man and I enjoy your insights and posts. I look forward to the next time in Chicago so we can drink a few beers and tell a few lies. The boy is bleeding. You have the choice... ShaunG9 - your a good man even though you are a bleeding heart liberal. Your passion is admirable and it is no wonder your business's have been so successful. You are like a few others on board...you just don't let go. I know this is a family to many of you but sometimes at the dinner table, let your brother talk and keep your mouth shut while chewing your food if you know what I mean... Now, I have to go clean-up the blood thats running down my neck!

For what it is worth and it has nothing to do with the topic at hand but is timely nonetheless.
I hired the owner of a well known Rotary car forum based on my relationship with him online. I was sure he was a go getter like me. That could not be farthest from the truth. He was lazy and all he cared about was the internet and his beloved forum. I ended up firing him. Months later I was almost sued due to his taking shortcuts in his work to get back online. He produced about 2 hours of work in an 8 hour workday. I realized what a looser he was then looked at myself. I realized I was not too much different. I promised myself not to be an internet looser. Bottom line? Its the internet. I means NOTHING in the real world. If you are all wrapped up in what you "friends" will think of you online. Then it is time to step back and evalulate your life. I did and my life is so much more productive since weening myself off of the online forums. I spend maybe 1 hour a day online vs. 5 hours back in the old days. My life is so much more productive now its unbelievable.

I know everyone has been waiting for me to weigh in with my valuable opinion, so here it goes:
Shaun84targa is a cool guy who values the pelican "community", as demonstrated by his openness about his personal & business life on these forums.* He was trying to look out for the ducktail seller, and made it known that he thoughts Souk's offer was a lowball. In his eyes he was trying to be helpful, but by doing it publicly it was really a stab at Souk. It should have been done by PM, if he felt it was necessary. Souk is a cool guy who makes his living working on Porsches, so probably approaches deals differently than the average hobbyist here. Fair game. He also contributes a lot to the tech forums and has probably made a lot of business contacts as a result. Souk is pissed that he has been painted as a vulture, and has retaliated. Unfortunately, it was done by name-calling and demeaning Shawn84targa's line of business. The bad news is there's no way to right any of the wrongs. The only possible way to resolve this that I am aware of, is naked tickle fights. You have both already lost enough dignity here, so I think it's a logical next step. *Shawn84Targa is also one of the few people who can confirm Tab's existance, and was even brave enough to eat with him.

Shaun, you sound like you want everyone to agree that you were in the right ...
whatever the circumstances that happened and we can't see them now ( post changed etc ... ) you are still not going to get 100% of the people to say " yeah, you were right " so either continue to defend yourself, which is really not needed and this will drag on and get worse, or follow the advice of many and say that you disagree, but it won't happen again .. time to move on brother ....

I know some people have come forth to vouch for Souk's good nature & business ethic. However, I think it should be known that he punched my nanny in the face and stole her NYT crossword puzzle. That is a fact.

Matter 'o factly I may be there same time as you, visiting my brother in law, who has bought himself a real life haunted house.
If I'm down there we'll hook up for sure. Last time I was there I ended up in Lunenburg harbour in a "borrowed" dory at 3am, drunk but quite pleased. If not, it's about a 5 hr drive and I won't be allowed to go, cuz except for the inlaw trip, sept is "paint the kitchen" month. Unless you want to make a 5 hr hike to paint my effen kitchen? Funny, I was just in the tech forum reading your (awesome) engine oil selection thread. You mentioned something about Rotella diesel oils... I've had some funny oil issues in my Jetta that I'm going to PM you about.
