So...why would anyone who does a crime use an automatic?
So...I read too much...sue me, but why would any moron use an automatic and solid shot?
Shells eject, evidence.....solid shot, even deformed by hitting flesh, skipping off bone or whatever, they can still be traced back to the weapon with a percentage of certainty..... Wheel guns with hydrashocks, blue tips, glazers etc.....how come you don't hear about them more often?

The pros use a .22 auto with a silencer. One shell pops out and its picked up.
A wheel gun makes more noise due to the space between the cylinder and barrel, thats why they use an auto. The only place you will see a wheel gun with a silencer is in the movies. JoeA

I prefer the Colt Woodsman smooth bore with muffler and casing catcher.

If the firearm is not traceable to you and you ditch it after your crime, why would you care about a traceable bullet or shell casing?

Next up...who says that if it's murder on your mind, that the weapon of choice has to be a firearm?

Because they just don't give a crap. Some criminals who stragically plan out a crime will not and these are people that are still out there. They don't get caught and they don't want to get caught which means no evidence and sometimes no witnesses. But someone that wants to rob a grocery/liquor store at closing just for some quick cash will. These type of people IMO don't care about the consequences, they don't care who they hurt or why.

If the gun is stolen ("hot"), what do you care if they trace the shells back to the gun.
As far as bullet preference, if you put 2 in their head it doesn't matter if they are made of pencil erasers. |

The "pros" use a "drop gun" .22 or .25 taped up. They shoot and drop the gun at the scene.

speaking of pro's... Has anyone seen that HBO documentary where the famous criminal psych guy Park Dietz interviews that hitman guy called the Iceman?
I am telling you, that Iceman guy is freakin one scary dude. He talked for 60 mintues about killing people and each time you thought maybe this guy was just bragging, they would show the newspaper article covering the hit. If you haven't seen it, you can find it on the HBO OnDemand thing, under documentaries.
