My neighbor acorss the street just died of lung Cancer at the age of 57. His wishes were to not have a funeral at all. If the family wanted to get together and console one another that was fine but he did not want a big deal made over his death.

I kind of liked that.

Well, as an organ donor, I'll be parted out if enything is still worth a toot. My ashes some will be mixed into the black paint and used on my SC, some will be spread at big races at the have way point, 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, Petit Lemans and my local regions Club Race, the rest will be spread around the ocean near Bimini, in the Bahamas.

My first choice was he viking funeral also...seems a fitting way to go, but my kids (ever practical) reminded me I wasn't retiring near any oceans (damn!). Second choice was to pack the ashes in a firework morter and set it off from on top of Pikes Peak. Yes, they questioned the legalities of that, but I told them to figure out the logistics...I'd be watching to make sure it got done.

Nope, he was buried. Just none of the fanfare that goes with it.

I knew the moment when he died. How creepy is that?? He died at 1:00 in the morning and when he gave up the fight his wife let out a blood curdling scream. I heard it from inside my house with the windows closed, it shook me from my sleep and I got a really eerie feeling. I commented to my wife the next morning that I thought he died. I was correct. Kind of freaked me out.

If you smoke quit now and pray you do not go out like this guy, it was heartbreaking to see such a young guy go so fast .

I guess they will just put me through the meat grinder. That is what they do with poor people isn't it.

The pet food factory Bill?

I kinda liked the idea of a statue erected in my honour. Not sure where, not sure who's paying. It should be a naked statue, extremely well endowed (of course).
