Bingo! good catch, I don't think they were ever sold in the US.

I read a review once that said "Will go anywhere, and make you deaf getting there."

Overall pretty robust little rigs, but dealer support for service & parts kept them from being practical. A few years ago there were still quite a few around, usually for under 1k.

No Ladas anymore, I think they stopped selling them in the early 90's. Made great winter beaters!

That's cool that they sell those in Canada. There were a lot of them over in Poland, mostly out in the country. If you Google "Lada Niva" you'll get some cool Rally photos.

a lot of japanes cars have the mirrors on the front hood also have the stering wheel in the right side

not I'm pretty sure is a Porsche Beutler basaed in a VW chassis I seemed the rear photos and the engine ones
