Correct!! The taxi cabs (at least in Poland) consist of these as well as Nubiras. To me the Esperos were a comfortable ride, so I'm not sure why they didn't get imported to the U.S. as well. At least they were more comfortable than the Nubiras.

tchanson 11-05-2005 05:09 PM

I suspect that this one will be relatively easy for quite a few on this board, so,...answer with make, model and name. (Double Secret Probation bonus points for the year!)

Pay the man, Shirley...

Ralphie's black '39 Atlantic is the most pimped, but I've always preferred Peter Williamson's "low headlight" blue '36. One of three Atlantic Coupes built. First overall at Pebble in 2003, now actually being driven in Wisconsin, New Hampshire and elsewhere. I had the pleasure to spend some time with him this summer, and he's one brave man, given the value of this car...

Only metallic painted Bug from Molsheim.

I gave a silent prayer, thinking of all the curses that had to come from the poor guy who had to spray all those rivets evenly....

Next pic is yours, Sebring.

Well, I'm not sure if this is a rule breaker but, here's a car that I saw at this years BRIC concours. It was a finalist. Unfortunately, I can't remember what it is.

However, I do know what this car is if the above is void for competition. So much for ugly cars:).

I'm sure these will be child's play for most.

layzee 11-06-2005 06:40 AM

That's a US Spec Messerschmitt KR200 with aftermarket luggage rack, and optional tinted dome (of which there are 6 in the attic at my parents' house). Of course I should know as I run www.messerschmitt.co.uk :D

Is the first one a Marcos?

Your Mystery Bluc Car is an O.S.C.A. 1600GT built between 1960 and 1963, body by Zagato.

Very lovely car.

Very close on the year. But we will count it as a winner.

1959 Fiat Abarth “Double Bubble” Zagato

Your Turn!

Aston Martin DB5 Zagato?

Hugh R 11-06-2005 01:56 PM

close, DB4 GT Zagato. There were no DB5 Zagatos. If I remember correctly, they made 12 of them.

SLO-BOB 11-06-2005 02:29 PM

Yeah-I was pretty sure about the Zagato part, just not which DB. One of the most beautiful cars out there imo. Sticking to a theme, here's an easy one.

Lancia Aurelia

SLO-BOB 11-06-2005 05:44 PM

Yep. 1955. Competed with the DB4 as a premium sports car. Not Zagato, but Pinin farina. Thwe above pic taken by me at this years BRIC. Absolutely stunning car in person. Perhaps my favorite classic car. Here's a similar one.
