Mercedes CW 311
|
This is the original CW311 that Mercedes put it's name to (although Mercedes didn't build it)
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171389263.jpg But isn't this one of the cars built in 1983 by Eberhard Schulz? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171389085.jpg Is this the same car as the one in Tim's photo? |
This is turning in to a "Challenge Tim" thread.
I used to own one of these, but do you know what this is Tim? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171389528.jpg |
Griffin?

Cool little car. Tim |
Tim,
How the heck do you know all of these? Is there some trick in your 'research' or do you just know obscure cars? It's hard to even find a decent picture of a Cox GTM on the web. How about this then... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171419181.jpg |
Was going to say MGTC, but the doors make me say MG PA
|
Okay, since we went back to the 30's, here's an obscure one...2 versions.
Bonus points for the brand name of the headlights and parking lights on the first one. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171422344.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171422362.jpg |
That was neither an MG TC or an MG PA.
As for dafischers car I'm working on it, but I bet Tim knows! |
Aerkuld...MG TA?
|
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171424692.jpg
That's a 1929 or 1930 Ruxton with Woodlites "Cat eyes" headlamps - retractable no less! |
..and no, it isn't a TA either.
Yours was difficult to find until I noticed it was front wheel drive. Where's Tim? |
Methinks not an MG at all---assimetric and front hinge doors are clues.
Maybe Singer? |
|
Honda S600.

I do not know the cars in this photo. Can anybody help me out? My Dad took this picture in Tubingen Germany (near Stuttgart) in 1964. Can you identify the car in the foreground and the two parked cars in the background (between the MB and the VW notchback)?

Skoda - from the pattern of the letters on the bonnet and the shape of the grill.

The one closest to the MB is an early 60's Opel and the other is a German Ford Taunas. |
I concure with the German Ford Taunas call. I bought one for my daughter about 6 years ago. Drove it home with no brakes for $200:eek:
