Why fight it? They are the 914 of now. Great cars, wonderful handling and fun to drive!

Not around here you can't. Maybe I am not looking hard enough, but 993s in the Seattle area command a premium. You can pickup a very nice Boxster for less than 30K (Not one of the 1998/9 rejects). 993s start at 40k.

Every Microsoft kid bought a Boxster back in the day, then moved on leaving a lot of nice ones to choose from.....

If you want a 993 for real, you can find one for under $30k.

Same with Silicon Valley. The MercNews published more than one photo of tow trucks hauling repossessed Boxsters out of dot-com parking lots in 2002.

What would I rather see in my driveway? 993. What would I rather drive on a twisty road? Boxster.

I've had two 993s and two Boxsters, so I think I'm qualified to tell you that they are entirely different cars. If I were to be forced to rank one over the other, the Boxster would win. I know some hard-core air-(cooled) heads will go ballistic, but there you go.

Your right. Still, its seems like coupes in decent condition command a premium. Cabs are a dime a dozen.

He's also talking about Boxsters (Cabriolets, all).

Seems that a 993 Cabriolet would fit closest to to a Boxster.

Tho' yeah, HD, i notice that the Boxsters are about $10k less (than 993 cab's) around here.
