The key to understanding the RNC

It's awfully simple really.

When they anticipate getting caught out, or are about to make one of their many changes of direction, they first throw out the accusation that the other side is doing exactly that.

Best recent example was Cheney accusing Dems of "revisionism" and then completely misstating all of the originally promugated reasons for the invasion of Iraq.

This doesn't always work, because there are copious records of the original statements. And Cheney has been caught in lies so many times, i.e., 'I never met him,' 'I never said that' that you'd think he'd be shy about doing it again. But Cheney knows the RNC-controlled media (Faux, NewsMax, etc.) would never confront him with prior video or audio. And he's not about to appear anywhere he will be confronted. Heck, he even screens his audiences.

But look at some of the recent 'controversies' about the war, the economy, supreme court candidates, public political posturing... it becomes obvious.

A great example was the multi-front attack on the Dems, press and local residents after Katrina, with all the Bush spokespeople literally saying the same words 'we don't want to play the blame game' -- before going on to do exactly that: blaming the problems of Katrina victims state and local officials.

Lately the Repubs have been trying to claim moral leadership in civil rights. A truly laughable concept, but one now repeated in all the RNC-lead media. It really fools only the Kool Aid drinkers, but it muddies the public discourse.

Seriously Tech, your original post is just your feelings of how the RNC operates. There isn't a question there, you are just affirming your own preconceived notions...what is there to discuss?

I don't agree. When Cheney said others were offering a 'revisionist view' of how the Iraq war was launched, did that seem correct to you?

Tech, they would rather attack you, than attack what you are saying.

It's a pattern.

3rd grade sounds about right.
