Humor and confidence are important, too, no doubt, but young girls- especially the glassy-eyed generic mall-chicks most young guys go nuts for- like money, status, and visibility. They are also generally anti-intellectual.

I've been all over the country playing in or working for bands, travelling on business or for pleasure, and its distressing to see how lowest-common-denominator culture in general is.

I had a tough time in college bc I felt like the only punk rock guy in the state of Maine. All the 'hawttt chicks' thought I was cute but not fun to be with bc I would not tolerate their bull****.

My GF is a divorced librarian a decade older than I. We are a good fit. I can't imagine trying to date some generic mall chick/abercrombie/forever 21 dance club girl.
