Heard something at Walmart last night that made me cringe

Two young ladies in their late teens or early twenties were admiring a Latino baby in a stroller. One girl says to the other REAL LOUD, "Makes me wanna find myself a Mexican dude and have a baby with him". The other goes, "uh huh" in agreement. Disgusting. One of the reasons I hate shopping at Walmart.

Oh Haha 12-22-2005 05:50 PM

WTF?!!!!
Man, I hate people!
Do younger folks these days even have a ****ing clue?

M.D. Holloway 12-22-2005 06:18 PM

Could have been worse, think if the bady was a liberal!

They probably dinged the door on your Porsche getting into their el-Camino in the car park too. Better check.

Yeah, it's tough to be 18 and a white guy these days.

Though I'm a bit older than 18, you don't know how true that is.

No more of a clue than their parents and the gov't school system does.
How else could it be?

Think that's bad...

I was walking through Macy's yesterday when I smelled the unmistakable stench of White Trash. Turned out I was walking by the Britney Spears perfume stand.

Heard something at Walmart last night that made me har-, er, less flaccid

Two young trollops in their late teens or early twenties were admiring a pale, wrinkly little baby in a stroller. One girl says to the other REAL LOUD, "Makes me wanna find myself an old worn out geezer and have a baby with him". The other gives me a sideward glance, and sort of shudders.

I used to coach high school girls distance. One of the girls was hispanic. She helped our team win state in XC one year. She was probably 5-2 95lbs soaking wet. She never reached her potential as a runner in high school but kept her grades up and graduated from college. Her parents had come over from Mexico probably 25 years ago. As many of you know many hispanics don't expect much out of their daughters. I was proud that this girl had gone to college and gotten a degree.

Well, I ran into her at our local Wallyworld last week. She hadn't changed one bit. Cute as ever and she had this little girl in her shopping cart. My first thought was she was babysitting this little girl. Turns out is was her 1 year old daughter. She was back home with her parents, didn't say a word about the dad. She wasn't working. Major bummer for me. So much potential but a mindset that doesn't want to get out of Dodge bad enough.

People have a hard time breaking with family and friends. Its tough to go it alone without support.

Thats why I said Nostaus makes significant change sound like a cruise down a lazy river.

To challenge your families madness/mindset is to risk being expelled from the family...and we being social animals need our pack.

A trip to Wal Mart is a unique cross section of American culture, for better or worse. I hate the place, if I wasn't a poor college student I'd say to hell with it and just pay more at Target. No matter when you go it's busy, and even though there's 200 checkout lanes, there's only 2 open. That, and you have to make your way through the interesting folks loitering in the aisle to get anything, if you can find it. If you can't find what you want, leave, because the employees look at you like you asked them to do integration when you ask them a question. Remember the big uproar about the wages Wal Mart pays? Many of those people don't deserve $6/hr, the people behind that movement obviously don't shop there. What was this thread about?

55, did you give them any money? Might as well start now, because they'll be living off of us before long, if they don't already. Half Mexican welfare babies, gotta love this country.

OK, I'm twice 18, but why is it so tough?

slakjaw 12-23-2005 05:00 AM

I bet they were saying it so loud just to see if they could get a reaction out of anyone. I think it is stupid and immature for them to say that. It is also quite trashy.

Now hold on here.

I do not have any trashy chicks breaking down my door, trying to have a baby with me.

It’s all about perspective. IMO you should be happy, unless you want a kid with some HO!

:D

Oh boy, I've opened up a can of worms, the resident "Find-Fault-With-Everything" is on patrol.

I don't think life is tough, in general. I meant with women. (welcome to life, right?)

Like the story says, unless you have money/something very distinguishing, popular culture has shifted so that white guys really aren't actively sought after anymore. I'm not being racist or backwards when I say that, it's simply an observation.

You'll see attractive white girls with men of other races, but it's rare to see black or Hispanic girls with white guys. Case in point: I have a very attractive (blond, had the right curves, still thin, but girl-next-door personality) friend, who had a black boyfriend for a good part of HS. He was a great guy and I have no problem with her being happy with him. But it's a bit of a secret "why couldn't it have been me?" kind of observation.

That was probably only a side point of the story, though.

That's quite the statement. Quite ignorant IMO.
