Actually, no i do not know that hispanics don't expect much out of their daughters. You mean there is an entire group of humans that because of their language have lower expectations of their daughters less than others that speak say French?

Old school Mexico dude. He didn't mean anything bad by it. I understand it. They want their daughters to get married and have a nice family and the husband be the provider. Sort of like we were in the 50s I guess.

it doesnt end there. i know a vietnamese family that puts alot more emphasis on the male kids. the family celebrated when my friend found out she was going to have a baby boy. they were, "thank goodness, she isnt having a girl! YEA!". on the family picture wall, it is filled with boy photos. no girls. i saw a few girl photos on a table in the corner. my friend got pregnant with a white dude, just because she thinks, mixed kids are better looking. and better looking people get further in life. i feel sorry for her kids, she will not give them the proper tools in life. hope she makes me goddad! ;)

Your getting warm, the self confidence/humor thing was true maybe forty years ago.

I honestly don't think women consciously seek men with money, IMHO mature women look for security... oddly that is directly proportional to how much money you make... which can be directly proportional to how nice a car/clothes/house/cell phone you have... which can also directly affect how confident you are...
