Paul,
Take a moment and click on the link provided by Orbmedia, four posts above. . .not sure you'll stand by the "respect" statement after that. I suspect we've heard the last of fast-Eddie. [This message has been edited by Mike Feinstein (edited 07-21-2001).] |

As funny as it would be if that kid on the link Orb posted is this guy, I seriousely doubt it. There are a lot of Edwin Leong's out there. A quick search found the high school kid in Orb's link, a guy in Vancouver that reviews cameras, and one that bought a house in Somerset county NJ.

I was going over the POC Tribute to Le Mans race results and I didn't see your name posted. I did the same for Lime Rock and nothing. This board is for PO's and enthusiasts interested in the preservation, refinement, and continued development of the marque.
You should be well advised to do the same with your car and discontiue the embarrassment and humiliation to your family name. Clinton 1977 911S 2.7 Anchorage AK USA |

I also did a quick 'net search (Dogpile, Google and AltaVista) and found NO, ZERO, ZILCH, NIL automotive references on the web with Edwin's name in them.
Come to think of it, no 9-ball references either. There does appear to be a pretty well-known photographer with the same name as you, but that's about it in terms of online references. You'd think that such a world-class driver (and pool player) with his own family race track yada yada yada would at least be mentioned somewhere on the zillions of web pages indexed by these search engines. Yo Edwin - got any pics of your machines or links to any race/autox results we can check out? You sure could be legit. Anything is possible. So show us please, or let's close this post... I always thought that a rice car was a stock family car dressed up to look like a racer using cheap taste parts?????
I work at a Toyota dealership and sometimes deal with typical Rice Boys. Come on man! How are we supposed to take them seriously? There's a Corolla 1.3 with complete WRC Rally Car look driving around the area at my work. Looks like 300 HP but has only 75. HOW CAN YOU NOT MAKE FUN OF SUCH A CAR? |

Edwin, on the off-chance you're real:
> Even Mark Donohues Can-Am racing car. It's the fastest of all > of the racing Porsches. Right? Somebody here must own it! Donohue's car is in the Bay Area. I believe that Dave Morse, of MorSpeed, owns it. (And at least one example of every turbochraged Porsche ever made--or damn near it!) The 917/30 would suck most horribly as an autocrosser. I'm pretty sure I could take it with a stock CRX or 914. It is far too large and not nearly nimble enough at low speeds--in fact, I bet that it would have to go into reverse at least once to make it around a typical autoX course. Not to mention the fact that you can't reasonably put 1100HP down to the pavement in 1st gear. It would be spectacular to watch, but all the tire smoke would be hard to breathe. Take it to Sears Point, however, and it's a different story. > I'm told that all Porsche racing people come here to Pelican > bulleton board to talk. Whoever told you that is mistaken. These BBSes are not generally full of racers--just typical enthusiasts. They are here to share the joys and troubles of Porsche ownership (of the 911, on this particular BBS). The hardcore racers seem to be a serious minority. --DD ------------------ Pelican Parts 914 Tech Support A few pics of my car: http://www.pelicanparts.com/gallery/Dave_Darling |

Edwin, if you're still following this string, which I doubt, I feel sorry for you. Yeah, I do. You see, if you'd arrived here telling the truth about yourself, but expressing a sincere interest in P-cars, you'd have been welcomed. Any questions you may have might have been answered. And, if you'd shown at an area autocross, even on your bike, and introduced yourself to a competitor who posts here? Golly, you may have been given a ride. Edwin, instead of trying to invent a fantasy, try living in the real world. Work with what you have, improve your abilities, study hard, and your fantasies, at least part of them, can come true. Yes, Edwin...I feel sorry for you.
Good luck in growing up. Best, Paul Donkin [This message has been edited by pwd72s (edited 07-21-2001).] |

I think we all need to take a second and hike up our pant legs, because the bull **** is getting REEEEEEAL thick around here thanks to Mr. 22 year old. Which, by the way, I doubt suprised even ONE of us here that we're dealing with just another punk kid who wants to play "My daddy can beat up your daddy". Go back o the playground and run your muth since that seems to be about all you're good for.

orbmedia, Ha ha ha, very funny picture!
Don't you anything better to do with your time.....moron!....idiot! Yes pwd72s, I still following the string. I could not use the computer today because my father is mad at me and he made me study today. He said I have to study today if I want to go to Sears Point Raceway tomorrow and see Hans Stuck race his race car. My father said I could meet him. I look very much foward to doing that. Please don't feel sorry for me, I very happy guy! As for an interest in Porsches, I don't have any. I just came here to invite you to my Challenge so I could race a fast Porsche and beat it on the race track so I could show all of you show offs there is somebody faster than you. Every one here thinks the sun rises and set with Porsches. You have half wits showing pictures of their speedometers showing high speeds while driving. You should feel sorry for those people. And ask them to grow up. Doing things like that is so stupid and dangerous. |

When am going to give up?
When one of you little girls accept my Challenge. All you do is make jokes on me. Accept my Challenge or you will prove to me that all of the Porsche owners here are not worthy of my Challenge. No one here has the guts to accept my Challenge. If you can not afford to lose the $10,000.00 We won't bet any money. Now PUT UP or SHUT UP!!! I think my sister told me right, Porsche drivers have big ego, talk nonsense and have little penis. She says smaller than Ferrari owner. I think you are all chicken, because I have a much more superior car built to the highest quality and standards. |

Look, my challenge is real.
I am famous driver in Hong Kong. My car is built to highest quality, better then your girly Porsches. I designed it myself. And I can beat any autocrosser by 8 seconds. And I am famous 9 ball player too. And the best on the rings in my high school. I am very coordinated. I can sink thousands of balls in row. It takes much concentration. Why don't you believe me? |
