Simple Food Cravings

Okay, just had to get this out there. I love food, dont get alot of cravings though. The one thing that just calls to me and I have to make when the craving hits is a PB&J with Lays potato chips layered inside. Throw in a big class of cold milk and man oh man!!! Must be a childhood thing coming back but man for some reason this combo just hits the spot and has for as long as I can remember.

Dan, I thought I was the only one who liked the chips squashed inside the PB sandwich (I leave off the J).

Never had that one. I could lust after a ripe avocado mashed all over a piece of mayonased fresh bakery white bread with some salt and fresh ground pepper.

Another variation is to toss a piece of cheese inside and flop it into a buttered hot skillet for a minute. Little heavy on the calories and saturated fats, but I don't do it too often.

Sigh...I've been craving Cheerios for the past 3 years. Can't have 'em.

Makes me a bitter, cranky person!

Mmm, comfort food. Most of mine involve lots of cheese...

Homemade Fetuccine Alfredo with way too much Parmesan.
Gruyere and ham grilled on buttery bread.
Nachos dripping with melted jack and cheddar.

Angel hair pasta topped w/crushed garlic in melted butter, salt/pepper, 'n too much Romana.
.
Melt sharp cheddar in a Teflon pan until it begins to crust along the edge.
Turn off heat, sprinkle shredded Ramona on top, cover.
Let it cool all the way down - bigass cheese chip.

Tuna sandwich, Fritos, and a glass of milk. Loved it since the day I could eat.

An avocado, bacon, lettuce and onion sandwich on toasted sourdough with a heaping pile for french fries and a pint of cold amber ale.

Every morning for breakfast I have a PB&J sandwich on toast.

I'm not allowed to eat PB in front of our son cause he'd want it and he has the peanut allergy.

74th St Ale House, best corned beef sandwich I've ever had. Big pile of Tim's Cascade potato chips and a tall pint of what ever is on the cask tap at the time.

Plus it's within walking distance of JW's Workshop.

The Targa is due for a valve adjustment and I'm hungry!

BLT without the bacon or lettuce. That's right, big beautiful ripe sliced beefsteak or heirloom tomatoes on toast with mayo and lots of salt and pepper. Love it!
