No one has mentioned your association with Slakjaw or his hikacking of your account for at least 4 pages and you choose to bring it up again? Are you just a glutton for punishment or what? Let it lie...Slakjaw was the one who posted under your name. Not me.

Thanks S

I'm saying why did you care so much about this unintentional accident to continually harangue, even to the point of posting a private PM in the forum (a tacky no-no) for 3 pages or so? |

For the last time. Read my original post. I was questioning whether someone was hacking your account. I saw several posts that did not seem like you, so I was suspicious.
Again, I would think you might be thankful someone brought it to your attention before Slakjaw posted more trollish messages under your name. It was your choice to attack the messenger. And again, no one is "harangue"-ing you but yourself. I had not posted a thing about it in over 24 hours until YOU posted about it again.

Do you know about the upcoming Pelican Meet in Vegas created by Mike Holloway (Lubemaster)?
I made a bet with Joe that Fintstone won't show up. It's a simple bet. If he doesn't show up (I win), Mike will send Joe's check to Make A Wish Foundation, that is if he ever writes it and send it in to Mike. If Fintstone does show up, defined by Joe as staying for 10 minutes to any of one the events on the agenda, I lose and Mike will hand Joe my check and then, as he's stated so many times, go out and have steaks and scotch dinner with Fintstone. I think that covers it.

Did you both agree that Mike would hold the checks? You seemed to agree on the definition of "show up"
Did you also both agree that Mike would hold the checks until the event? I don't really care either way but you are using Wayne's bandwith here and and hijacking posts. So which is it. Did you both agree to send the checks in advance to Mike or not? steve

I am grateful. I also understand it was a mistake, I KNOW it was a mistake.....it's my fault actually for not clicking "log out" when I was done like I usually do. It's cool, he figured it out, it won't happen again. It was your continual haranguing reactions after it was clarified that was annoying, as well as the tacky posting of a private PM in the forum. And again, I think if you look back at the actual thread, the only personal information that was posted about anyone was posted by you or Slakjaw. What you consider my "haranguing reactions" are simply responses to posts by either of you.
And if you think my posting the PM was tacky, that's ok...I think just about every word that comes out of Slakjaw's keyboard is tacky. So I guess that makes it even. And just an interesting stat: Total posts by me regarding the account hijacking: 11 Total posts by CC/Slakjaw regarding the account hijacking:21 Who won't let this go again?? I rest my case.

I too think your posting a PM was tacky and plain wrong. Regardless of what you "think" about anything I have to say. Furthermore, you acting the way you are/did. And useing the reasoning that you consider Slakjaw's posts to be tacky as an excuse tells me that you really do not have an excuse. It also shows a lot about the kind of mind we are all dealing with here. I find it disturbing that you actually took the time to count how many posts were posted by who in this thread. It proves several things about you. Firstly, it proves that you really do not have a life, It also proves that you are some kind of a stalker. To anyone here on Pelican that would dream of putting any faith into anything Rick types I warn you, let the buyer beware. Rick, I know that you will continue to justify your actions here on pelican. You should know however, a lot of people see through all these justifications that you come up with. Once again, I know you must have the last word. I know and I understand how much that last word means to you. Here is your chance, don't miss the oppertunity Rick. |

The arrangement was that Shaun and I would get together and work everything out. I had a feeling that he would try to welch on the bet so suggested that we make checks out and send them to an impartial third party and suggested Bill Verburg, a Pelican modertator. Everyone knows Bill, everyone likes and trusts Bill. Shaun agreed to the checks and third party but instead, without saying a word to me, just sent his check to Lubemaster and has been trying for several months now to force me to do the same. At first he did not tell me it was Lube, instead saying Mike H and I had no idea who that was and kept asking him, and again he was silent. Finally he told me it was Lubemaster who most of us know. I have no problem with Lube but its the principal of the thing that he says one thing and does another, then tries to force me into doing something. I do not work well with pressure and tend to push back a bit harder when pushed and will continue to do so until he comes clean. He has not answered the above questions as it would show him to be lying to the forum. I have asked him numerous times to fess up and I would then send the check but he is simply silent, like now. Yet he as the same time portrays me as a "man with no honor" while he is... well, I guess a man with honor. A liar, but with honor in his mind it seems. Personally I would love to stop this back and forth banter but Shaun has not responded to the many posts asking for details. When he grows a spine and his balls drop possibly this will happen but we all feel that he is simply trying to use this as a way to get out of the bet that he knows that he will lose. Joe A
