Fintstone?

Anyone heard from him? I'm slightly concerned since he went from several posts a day to zero w/o any goodbye, anyone know?

It's funny; I feel such a strong sense of community here that even my arch-rivals are friends for the most part and I care what happens to people. Hope he's OK.

Denis,

Great minds must think alike. Uh...and so do ours... I was asking the same question earlier today.

Chances are our good buddy Fint got called upon to deploy somewhere in service to our country. Whatever the case, godspeed to him!

Randy

Was wondering about him as well but just received an email from him a few hours ago. He is ok but TDY somewhere.

He also said "not to worry, am still planning on being in Vegas at the Pelican meeting."

It's just your MO. It's becoming hard to tell when you are not threatening folks. My apologies.

It was really funny when I lived in Saudi. We were at a joint military/civvie housing compound but most of us were Americans with military ID. Those of us with the ID got to eat in the mess at the chow hall, with the associated benefits.

When the weekly menu came out, if it had BBQ ribs on it (always called "flat nosed cow," the undercover name for pig) it was funny to watch the muslims come to those of us they trusted and asked "any chance you could bring me one or two pieces of the BBQ ribs?

Just like drinking booze and chasing girls once outside the country, they for the most part eat pork when able. Thats one of the reasons why I lost respect for many of them was that they are kinda like many politicians in that they stand up, thump on their chests and say how religious, moral and above board they are, then when the cameras are off they do as they please and rarely follow the religious or moral edicts that they espouse in public to get votes.

I have to agree with you, could not give up bacon and BBQ ribs! We are heading to "a Muslim country" today and am heading downstairs to breakfast in a few minutes. Bacon will be among the first things I order as it will be my last for a few days...
