We just did dim sum for lunch and are all going to meet at the Bellagio AGAIN to do the buffet that we planned to do last night! Just to let everyone know what happened, we were having such a good time last night on the balcony outside at the Fontana that at 9:25 PM Tabs looked at his watch, and announced "since the buffet closes in 5 minutes, guess we are not going there!" Tabs "holding court" at dinner: We then went scouting and found a very nice Chinese resturant, where we all adjourned until around 11 or so. Most of us then retired but a few might have stayed on (Fintstone and RandyP) discussing world politics until the wee hours of the night!

It seems that every one of the liberals who were going to come and "tell us conservatives the way it is" wussed out. No one has heard from G9 in days and MY MONEY is in the hands of Lubemaster. Lets hope the check clears but if not it will be very fun pursuing payment options. G9 was also the topic of several discussions last night. What happened to the UPM Pelican shirts was one topic of note... Ryan, Kim is the "Kim" who is doing the Pelican shirts for the Vegas meeting. Look at the sticky post at the top of the OT forum. Keri is Cool Chick.

yes..i had (still have, just not running right now) an '82 yamaha seca 650 turbo while living in my 20's in miami. looking back, i'm glad i 'survived' that period as well..don't know how many times jerks started to turn across my lane in front of me and having to slam on the brakes, trying to keep from flying forward over the handle bars. be careful, todd!

That's a good looking bike, what is it? Triumph?

Triumph Speed Four. Probably going to sell it though and switch to a Ducati Multistrada. Still trying to decide between 1000 and 620, although Triumph Daytona 675 and Aprilia Falcos are still on the table.
Mul, in July of last year I did LA-SF-LA in two days for dinner with some of the bay area Pelican crew. Compared to that, this LV trip was a milk run... Had a couple of people decide to change lanes on me without looking. Luckily I saw them early, and the bike is very quick handling. But frankly, as I pondered the deeper meanings while cruising at 85mph on the 15, life is too short for softcore... |
