That sucks! Monitor your credit reports regularly even if you have to pay for the reports once in a while. It'll be worth it. You're doing the right thing by avoiding the phone and not talking to him. Maybe canceling your home number and live off cells for a while and pick up a home number again and leave it unlisted. If he still finds you maybe a restraining order is in order? Good luck to you and hopefully he'll find another host to latch himself onto and leave you alone.

Other than monitoring your credit, just ignore him. Why answer the phone anyway? I never answer my home phone, just let it go to vmail and pick up if I hear someone I know leaving the message. If he shows up at your door, tell him you're not friends and throw him out. He doesn't sound like the type for burglary, just leeching.
