It was a CYA memo? Who’s A was being C’d? Seems to me that it was a pretty accurate memo. We all know what happened a month later. If it weren’t accurate, you could call it CYA.

If I recall, it was Clinton who shot missiles and almost got Osama in a pre-emptive strike. I don’t know what intelligence Clinton had, but he didn’t have a memo stating “Al Qaeda determined to strike in the US.” It was GWB who ignored that accurate information. We’ll never know if GWB could have prevented 9/11 if he acted on that memo, but by not acting on it, well, you get my drift.
