Thanks for the red herring argument, when what is really at work here is racial profiling, which was part of many decisions these guys were less a threat than the FBI bolstered them up to be.

And I'm sure these days no one would second guess some cracker buying a truckload of dung from Home Depot as opposed to a guy with a good tan and Mideast accent.

Again, when old women start blowing things up, they can start strip searching them at airports with my blessing. Until then, as a well known Bank Robber once said when asked why he robbed banks, he replied, "that is where they keep the money" Well over 99% of the terorist types on this planet fit this profile. Smart money is on the next terrorist act committed against Americans being by a muslim.

Oh and the point of my "red herring" was to point out the fallacy of waiting until everything is in place to blow something up, or worse, until debris is flying around and people are wondering how this could have happened.

You can oppose racial profiling because it is "wrong" if you like, but if you know for certain that 99% of the people you are looking for are going to be male, middle eastern descent and talk funny, who would you be talking to? (assuming you were in law enforcement)

Oh, and a little bonus question for you. Say you are driving around lost in one of the sketchier areas in LA with your family, you see a group of young black males with red doo rags. Do you stop and ask them for directions, or do you think, man those guys look like gangbangers?

I have an answer to whatever your response is, yes or no.

There have been several cases of plain ol' American folk well-sided with what these fundamentalists are procurring or threatening to procure on American interest. They are hardly dark-skinned and their diction is probably better than yours or mine.

Actually, just a reverse of the procedure that they used to get here. Pack up their stuff and put 'em on a plane and say "You're not welcome here anymore. Buh-Bye."
