"I pity the fool!" (WARNING: Mr. T Content)
Just as I was wondering WTF happened to this bloke:
![]() "Last Laugh: The 'T' stands for talking" Mr T, star of '80s action TV show The A Team, is returning to TV. T is currently filming a Dr Phil-style talk show where he will dish out advice to audience members. The show's called I Pity The Fool, and T gave the Associated Press a taste of the sort of comments he's going to dish out. "You're a fool if you don't take my advice," he said. Exactly what sort of problems Mr T is going to help people with is unclear, beyond the report that they will be "personal or professional". The show premieres in the US in October. Mr T will surely advise perseverance as a key trait to overcoming problems. After all, 20 years of sticking with the same haircut and catchphrases has worked for him. Let's just hope this doesn't result in a re-emergence of Mr T mania like we saw back in the '80s. Don't remember it? Well, perhaps you should check out the Mr T cartoon (revoiced by Comedy Central) or, even better, the clips for Mr T's songs Be Somebody and Treat Your Mother Right."

I remember seeing Mr T on one of those ABC Wide World of Sports shows back in the '70s. He was a bouncer at the time (this was pre- A Team) and was in the "Toughest Bouncer" competition. I think he placed well in the "midget throwing" event. Ahhh...the good ol' days...

I remember that.
What most people don't know is he is only about 5'6". They used a lot of camera angles to make him look bigger.

He couldn't do any worse than the bumble heads doling out advice on TV already. As my friend says "advice is worth what you pay for it".

Actually, he is an extremely decent guy. While flying to Sydney, a leg of the trip went from Chicago to LA. He was in the seat behind me. Everyone in first talked to him. He posed for pictures. And he told us why he was back in Chicago. He flew up there every month to actually work directly with the kids in the projects where he grew up. Not for publicity. Not for awards. But to give something back. Great guy. Even I posed for a pic with him. Of Course, my buddie couldn't use my camera to save his life...The picture is a bit grainy from his not using the optical zoon.
