I like most things mechanical. I just nabbed this bad boy off Ebay and can't wait to bring it back to the homestead. I've had a few Gensets before but for the most part I flipped them for profit.

This one will be permanently installed...well, unless I find a nicer one....

The three brands I stick to are Onan (favorite), Kohler and Winco.

This Winco runs on LP or Natural Gas and puts out 19kw of 1 phase power on NG....20kw with LP. The one feature I don't care for is the fact that it runs at 3600 rpm. I usually go for the 1200-1800 rpm motors. That said Winco make a very Tried 'n True machine.

I don't have a newer picture, so this will have to do, from a year or so ago, might take a better one in a while, some stuff has changed. There is also a stack of nice shiny new stuff on the floor I haven't got to yet.



I know, not the same sort of machinery, but it does have rotating mass, fans and fiber optics.

Not real big, but I tried to make it pretty.

here's something we built years ago, the cattle trap looking thing on the front holds 16 300amp alternators, each with it's own belt off of a 16 groove pulley which was driven off of a custom pto. this was used to provide 16volts dc to the 130 1000watt amps which drove 60 15" woofers....we were running 2 950lbs 14 volt diesel train batteries too

It's a hydraulic component testing system. High flow, low flow, high pressure, low pressure.... for testing accumulators, valves, lines, pumps, etc.
