Digital Camera Help

All of a sudden, Windows XP doesn't recognize my Olympus IR 300 camera. Always did before, and auto ran camera and scanner wizard.

Still sees it, but only as a removeable storage device. WTF did I do now?

Maybe not as simple as this, but mine does the same thing..unless I make sure I turn the camera on after hooking it up. If I turn it on before hooking it up, it won't recognize it. Hope this helps.

howard clear your screen so only icons appear. plug camera in. turn camera on. puter should start making noise(scary) and wa-la screen should pop up showing pics being downloaded. make sure camera batteries are new or charged fully. hope that helps.

Interesting. Two choices on the camera screen when attached to USB, 'PC' or 'Print'. Select PC=Storage device, select 'Print' and wizard starts. When using print, I can't delete pix from camera (with windows).

Plug and Pray. Thanks guys.

Double check control panel/system/device manager for the device also(?). Nothing should have changed it as default.

No solution to why it happened, but right click on "Start" and use explore to see if you can find the external drive (E) usuallly and see if you can open your pics and copy to your hard drive.
