Yeah, these broadband cards are amazing. The best part is the mobility. I am riding down the highway posting this while my wife drives! I have the Sprint EVDO version, and it rocks!

Isn't that service pretty expensive or am I thinking of something else?

I second the request for hula dancers. Otherwise you could be lounging in Long Beach for all we know.

Jealous. Went to Maui in the spring and it was spectacular. The Banyan tree is pretty cool. If you can, try to see the sunrise atop the Haleakala volcano, and do the road to Hana, all the way around.

Have fun!

The big question is, what're you doing with your laptop here Wayne? Go get a fruity drink and close your eyes for a while!

Go eat at Aloha Mix Plate down the street from the tree. Scuba if you could, pretty decent diving there. I gotta get back to Maui soon.

I have aone of those cards for my laptop too. Its a necessary tool when you live in hurricane territory. I also have a myFax.com # for when a dreaded storm hits.

I foward my office line to my Cel phone and my fax line to the myFax.com number and use the cell card in my laptop to access faxes. It comes in handy and I think I pay about $60 a month too. I have mine through Cingular. Right now I have it dormant and it costs $15 a month. If there was a indication of an active hurricane season I would have activated back to unlimited.

I also have a Verizon modem that has been assigned its own ISP and we use it for static connections to a GPS satellite network. This costs me about $70 a month but we need it for our GPS to get the accuracy we need.

I have never been to Hawaii yet, we are waiting for our little guy to get old enough to endure the long flight.

Have fun out there!!!

Technology is a double edged sword. When you are "away" on vacation anymore, are you really "away"? Throw the phone in the ocean and ride some waves.

Hee hee... note when I was in Kauai I didn't post for two weeks... I also left my cellphone off for three days and my friends freaked.

But to each their own, if you want to surf the Internet while on vacation so be it.
