If W starts talking troops in or around N. Korea I will begin researching the housing market in Canada.

Hockey is at least a bit more interesting than baseball and they do have some of the best waterfowling!

A not even GW is that stupid, conventional warfare is more of a problem to South Korea then to North Korea, the Chinese are the key when it comes to dealing with the North Koreans, not the USA.. the US cannot do any preemtive strikes or anything without pissing off the Chinese... realistically , the best solution would be that the Chinese do it... and do it properly.

B North Korean misseles can barely reach Japan, let alone North America

agree on point B, however IF those things started flying, regardless of where and who, i suspect things would escalate in a hurry.

having my clearance to go into project mercury nevada, los alamos, sandia, white sands(trinity site), very very quickly, made me decide that ANY NUKE is a very very very bad thing in the WRONG HANDS!

JUST THE HOLES @ MERCURY LEFTOVER FROM ABOVE GROUND TESTING WILL KILL YOU IF YOU FELL IN! let alone REMS STILL BEING EMITTED AT DANGEROUS LEVELS!

look up the word HALF-LIFE! can YOU SAY HALF-LIFE?????????????? its a nuke-lar term!

then don't worry about moving, if it escalates that badly , you'de probably rather be close to ground zero as opposed to far away from it...

i hear it's not really like the common flue, and Aspirin's don't quite help...

besides, Canada, i'm sure somebody will have a few courtesy nukes, especially for stray Yankees hiding amoungst the Canuks... i if i were a bad guy , you bet i would think of that ... so it's not unreasonable to think the real bad guys thought of that too

guy i used to work with, used to live in belen, new mexico. check map as crow flies from alamagordo. its to the west. told me the SUN CAME UP TWICE THAT DAY!

military told population ammo dump exploded to cover it up!

all i know is if someone has arizona programmed into their nuke-lar missile GPS system, the likely points of impact will be luke afb, davis monthan afb, hoover/glen canyon dams, and palo verde nuclear generating station. i live about 70 miles from PVNGS to the north east. now with prevailing winds coming from the republik of kalifornia, which will be obliterated in the event of nuke-lar attack........................IM SCREWED JUST FROM FALLOUT!

our plan is to break into liquor store, grab a boatload of tequila/beer, go to porsche dealership and borrow a couple of carerra gt's, stop by go-go bar, grab some girls and drive/fornicate until we MELT! LOL!

i recommend liberal quantities of either Amphetamines of Columbian Sunshine, either will add substantial stamina to any manic last splash.

for the dreadfull last minutes i recommend a massive dose of LSD-25, for the simple reason that it will zoink you into some form of catatonic giggle, and extreme pain management, eg , won't feel a thing when your wee wee falls off.

for either, the obvious truth is to time it right
you don't wanna crash from your cocaine binge, or speed binge... still days from croacking

there is a movie, tv series... bout a bunch of dudes on a nuclear sub, who didn't fire it's load... and is now about in the post apocalypse

they end up in Oz, in the final weeks before the fallout reaches them.... don't remember the name of the thing, but it was quite eerie, they went back to Frisco ,and some of the crew dissembarked because they rather croaked on home soil now, then a few weeks later in Oz

our democratic female governor had missile batteries stationed around palo verde nuke site post 9/11. i think they went back home since threat level is lower. like a terrorist is going to announce his next move.

we have drank alot off beers over the subject of what we are gonna do in the event of nuke-lar anything. chernobel fallout circumnavigated globe in 3 days and was detected in dairy cows milk in gilbert arizona. the prevailing winds are the problem with fallout.

we have all agreed that he who has water possibly can survive. but living in a dezert with only 3 natural rivers which will be contaminated, kinda shoots that idea down. going south to mexico is a possibility, water is available in sierra madres. going north will not help due to nellis afb-vegas being wasted, therefore utah and colorado will be contaminated. new mexico will be vaporized due to hollomon afb and sandia and los alamos. so that leaves mexico............................buenos dias amigos...........mind if i sneak over that wall we built???????

Damn! You guys concluded over beers exactly what we concluded in a college classroom back in my undergraduate days. Funny how the same conclusion, whether in a bar or on a college campus is...
