The New FBI

So, with increased funding and staffing, and the 'War on Terror' in full swing, what has the FBI been up to? It would seem chasing down pr0n.

Really, really good use of our assets... no wonder they are called the "fools, bureaucrats, and incompetents" in many places.

My wife served on a jury once where some Snohomish County deputies had set up a "sting" operation. Hundreds and hundreds of hours spent on post at various stakeouts. Lots of overtime, long hours away from their families. Truely grueling duty. The subjects of this immense, well planned operation? Strippers. Strippers violating the legal distance to customers. One in about ten accepting a proposition from who they might have thought was a john.

Turned out to be over 40 hours of this intense surveilance for every bust. The judge threw the case out after one day of testimony, admonishing the deputies for their incredible waste of taxpayer dollars. He should have at least had them all relieved of duty, if not thrown in jail themselves. What a bunch of asshats; "keeping our communities safe".

Yup, I can see where our fearless FBI agents are going with this. Hours spent surfing internet porn. Taxpayer dollars spent on magazines and books. Fighting over whose turn it is to use the movie passes. Amazing.
