Not speaking from direct experience, but I have friends that throw themselves into work, the gym, the car, etc. Some travel.

Or a field trip to Thailand, Rio, Australia...

Thailand is not an expensive country for anything. Or so I've been told.

Thailand is a bit embroiled in a bit of civil unrest at the moment...

I am a little confused here. Under your profile, Nostril Cheese, you list your occupation as "Punk Rock Girl", which could mean that you are using your own interpretation of some of the responses, or you are a very open minded individual who doesn't feel the need to conform to the constraints that society imposes (Am I being PC here?). Either of which, that is a good start to getting yourself out of this, as it would appear you have the ability to think straight.

Just as nostatic said, "time heals all wounds". That is spot on. I've recently gone through something similar (marriage, not knee) and it hurt for a while, but it does get better with time. My personal view, is that events happen for a reason, if it was meant to be then nothing would have ended it. I always seem to find that no matter how bad things appear at the time something good always comes out of it. In my case I have met one of the best friends I could ever hope to have and all thanks to a bad situation.
Hope this helps!

Indeed. As it turns out, there are some very nice ladies out there who avoid drama, are honest and straightforward, no games, have good attitudes and who perhaps like to do some of the same things you like to do. If you know what I mean.

I've been through three major break-ups. You can can play with the palliatives like drink, drugs, work, gym, tracktime, new and expensive hobbies and especially mindless and meaningless sexual encounters

but the only thing I found that puts the head back together properly is a new and meaningful relationship. If you want to find it the worst thing you can do is to go looking for it.

So I suggest tune up the Porsche and blow the doors off a few inferior makes (on the track of course ) start collecting custom switchblades, improve your gun control and start having fun again with the female of the species.

Well if ya want you can post pix of the chick that broke your heart, as, odds are, at some point or another some one here (well, besides you) has probably banged her(or will at least lie about it). If so, he can brag about it, and we can all make fun of her remorselessly. Never underestimate the healing power of a little healthy dehumanizing belittlement.

Just let us know fella....we're HERE for you.

Yep. Make strange the norm. You have to get used to the change - no friendly conversations with the ex, no memories, get rid of it all...Disappear. If she doesn't want you, F her, move on.

DO NOT talk to her.

(I had my last one replaced-two weeks ago in 5 days with a new and improved version.. HEH!)

posting nude and/or embarassing pictures are especially helpful for the healing process.
