This is just a bashing thread and is going no place. Militant Islam is a problem in this world - but besides the fear of on going terrorism, not here. It is a serious subject when it comes to Darfur or being forced to live under Sharia law in places like Nigeria. But nobody is taking the time to write about that. That's a problem for those living in those places, but their problems began long before Islam arrived. They've always been hellholes, and always will be like that. It's the people themselves, not the religion.

But this is not what is being discussed. Now, if Muslims had asked the people on the subways to convert to Islam and they refused and then set off the bombs, it would be relevant. The original post said "convert to their faith or die".

That's exactly what happened to those European reporters some months back, during the Israeli-Lebanon war IIRC.

If i may, i think his point is that if a whole city(for instance) were to convert or abdicate, they would no longer be a target, whereas an 'infidel city' is very much a target.

And if that is his point, i would say he's correct...except that has not been the case in Darfur, where 400k Black Muslims have been killed by the ruling Arab muslim majority. And they're all Sunnis to boot.
