The Moto Guzzi V11 Sports are all retro. Some of the special editions more so. Guzzi made 300 numbered Rosso Mandellos for 2001. I had #264. They sold well, so Guzzi made 300 more un-numbered. Typical Italian antics.

"The Legend of the Motorcycle" is probably the best motorcycle concours in the world. Worth checking out- comes each year in May to Half Moon Bay. Some pics from last year:

I am going to look at this on Monday--so I have something to ride until I am done with the Morini.

No need for a throttle, just an on/off switch. I put a lotta miles on an H1 back in the day. Denco's, K&N's, port matching & a little tuning, nothing could touch it in it's day. They were $995 at the local dealer for quite a while. They were so cheap & fast that kids snapped 'em up. I never had to buy parts. I bought several (damaged) bikes from kids on crutches for real cheap.

Do sparkplug count? I was constantly fouling them on my KH400A. There was even a little three-plug holder under the seat.

The factory oil injection settings were way too rich. Once you backed it off enough (carefully), the plug fouling went away & the engine came to life. That trick along with matching those little manifolds to the cyls and cutting back those copper rings on the exhaust plus a set of jets and it was on like Donkey Kong. Port timing on 500's was already so radical that any more would have made it undrivable. Mine was beaten twice (both avenged) due to missing gears, once to an H2 (750) and once to a sportster.

Speaking of spoortsters...here's a new trend in modding them with Buell forks/swingarms. Why is beyond me as you can buy a used tuber Buell for what the mod's cost. Cool cafe racers nonetheless...

I have an old buell gathering dust in my garage. I think I'm gonna try to build a budget version of this bike sans the impractical upswept pipes. Anybody go any ideas on a similar seat? The one in this pic is a one off.

Air cleaner assembly or just the cf cover? Instrument mount just for speedo or speedo and tach? I assume the swingarm was taken off in recall? Just noticed you have an M2...the 97/98 narrow bodied M2's have a cult following.

just the carbon fiber cover.

the simple speedo mount.

just have an extra swingarm. i ran with about half a dozen guys who all had early buells. as their bikes disintegrated, parts just started accumulating in my garage. sold the cyclone years ago. think this is the last batch.

also have a couple buell patches. and an old rear wheel with a blown bearing. suppose it could be recored, or made into a planter.

sort of random photo.

About to start my own cafe project

Plans are to build a baby version of the Ecosse out of a Buell M2 rat bike. Some inspiration:

Very cool, Dueller. Makes me want to pick up an old Yamaha thumper and do something like that.
