Hey guys, just an FYI

Before going up there again, get some of this stuff: http://www.tecnuextreme.com/ It's saved me countless times when I've been out hiking in poison oak and poison ivy infested areas.

I hope that the other guys that went with me are OK. SmileWavy

Another good tip, thanks Mark.
How are the plants doing in this cold weather?

The old and the new.

Here's a cool picture of a Mustang Station Wagon that Jeff sent me. Thanks Jeff.

This is from Victor and much appreciated also. The new Ute, from Australia. We were talking El Caminos and he knew all about this new style Camino. Way cool.

Car trivia

Its winter, a few days without sun and vitamin D levels are dwindling.

Lets play car trivia!

What is the model designation of this rare VW?

Hint....It was powered by a type 3 Euro motor. It is a factory built car. Only a total of 10,205 units were built. It was built as a replacement for the Karmann Ghia on a VW Variant chassis. It was so slow it earned the nickname in Portuguese “Sem Potencia” or “Without Power.”

For a moonlight drive across Mulholland Drive name this car?

That's a rare 1974 Volkswagon SP2. Designed and marketed in Brazil, the coupe was made between 1972 and 1976.

In response to Dave's text message: This is Liz, Alarick's wife. He can't come type right now because his hands are bandaged like boxing gloves to keep him from scratching his skin off due to his outbreak of poison oak.

j/k No blisters yet. I get paranoid everytime I have an itch, though.

To all of southern california, sorry for the rain. I wash my car once every two months, it seems. Got embarrassed from all the super clean machines I saw at the La Canada Pelican gathering Sunday morning, so when I got home I gave my car a bath. You know how Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday have turned out, so far. Last time I washed my car, it also rained the next day.

Mr. Mason has answered correctly.

For a double or nothing prize which late 70's Porsche introduced as a "new model" borrowed styling from the rare VW SP2?

Hint...AMC Pacer!

Oh, jeez! That's terrible, but I can't stop laughing! Of the four of us, you really needed to stay PO free. I have not heard from Kevin, but I see him working...

I am fine.

Feel better Alarick! The worst will be over in a couple of days.

Now Chris and I wandered into a PO forest and I kept thinking don't rub the sweat off your brow....don't touch your face......if it even thinks of itching DONT TOUCH IT...........

Alarick get into a tub with hot water and dump a 1/4 carton of Epsom salts into it. It will pull the toxin's from your skin. Feel better. Live to drive another day!

It was intended to be a grammatical syntax error message question.

I used my own time honored cure. After scraping and popping the big blisters by raking them with the back of a kitchen knife, I soaked them in Isopropyl Alcohol. After a severe burning sensation, they all dried up and went away.

Considering how dense the Poison Oak groves are over Mulholland, we were very lucky to have escaped with our lives. :D Just kidding!

KevinP73 01-25-2008 07:36 AM

I'm here and feeling fine. I'm not seeing any signs of PO.
