Stock windshield as Derek says. I remember I had a difficult time installing it due to it's rake near the cowl panel.

The side glass is plexiglas that I fabricated to fit the modified lowered window frames except for the roll up glass which is stock glass.

The rear flush glass was made by Arnie or Don and is made of Lexan.

Getting ready for the photo shoot, it was important to touch up the silver paint on the car and the black on the wheels.
Many years of chipping around the lug nuts looked bad.

The rollcage is nearly done being re-polished. It really looks amazing especially because it conforms to the modified roofline. It's a piece of art.

The car is almost ready to be photographed.
Just the paint remains. After a light polishing it will be waxed to a high luster. I hope it looks good.

I believe that this is the bill for the oil cooler small grill located in the whale tail's flat section.

Long ago, you could just go to Good Year and buy racing tires at the counter. There was a guy there named "Little Joe" who knew everything about compounds, treads, and all else about racing tires. Unfortunate that this place is gone.

Another great place that hit the dust. They sold everything Koni, rebuilt Konis, cut shafts for lowered cars, and more. Real nice people too.
The bill is made out to AE German Car. That is where I was working as a Porsche Mechanic for a few years in the mid 70's. At times I got a break using the shop's discount.

Yep, that would be me. I think I know your car now as well - black CCW wheels, right? Nice car.

The narrow car can actually be quite an advantage at times at an autox or on the backroads.

But, I'm a wuss on public roads as there are too many variables I can't control and too many things to hit that can turn a minor incident into a freak accident with dire results. My hat's off to ya'll that can still go out there and run the backroads flat-out though (you know who you are)! SmileWavy

sorry for a late response on Jungleland slaloms. We were all hungry for competition and being in the 16-19 year old range, most living with parents, it was not meant to be for real racing with SCCA. We got away with several loose events like Pantera/ Ferrari club at Riverside, Old Timers races at willow (when the pits were really the "pits" all dirt ;) and the races were , er ... rather interesting ) , and a few other events.
So there is the Scc SCC= Southern California Council of Sports Car Clubs. They would get the club chiefs together at the beginning of each year to work out a seasonal schedule of autocrosses and slaloms. Some were SCCA administered, some were this or that car club, some were even community college supported (eg-Santa Barbara Sports Car Club in the college pkg lot ) . For pkg lot events we had the Ford Plant in Pico Rivera, Los Alamitos horse track , Hollywood Park, Hollywood Bowl, Jungle Land, SBSCC, Santa Monica, Pierce College, Pomona Fairgrounds, etc, various govt forces runways or parking lots, and even the airport runway up in Lone Pine for a monster high speed annual corvette club event.
You couldn't swing a cat w/o having an event to burn rubber on

POC? yeah they had their time trials and in the late 50's/ early 60's even had a POC Racing Team that would participate in regional and national events. But they mostly did D/E events with stop watches and few slaloms by the time i could drive. Then I did not own a Porsche; too expensive and perceived by us broke kids that they were expensive to run and snobby too ! ;)
We all had our various Ch*t boxes and relatively inexpensive sports cars to play with.

Hey Dave, you forgot Whitman Airport, Topanga Plaza, Dodger Stadium and Terminal Island as auto-cross venues! :D

And of course Lion Country Safari in Irvine where John Clark and a passenger bought it in his Elan.

The weather was with us today with a beautiful sky of clouds and sunshine. Mr. Linsky arrived at 2:30 pm with his associate.
After some final preparation we drove to the end of Mulholland where it turns to dirt.

After spending some time here, we took photos in the empty part of Mulholand just west of Park Lane Circle.
I followed his car while photos were being taken out from the back.

We then moved to the location of the old Fire Station West.
Only abandoned steps, walkways, and this old Engine House still sits on Mulholland, built around 1930.
It seemed a nostalgic place to highlight an old restored Mulholland Racer.

We peeked into the darkness of the Old Shed and lo and behold, there sits the old original Fire Engine from the 30's. How appropriate!
I always wondered what the F.D. stored in there.

The day was disappearing fast, so after a some more detail shots of the engine and the interior, we moved to just east of Deep Canyon.
I was asked again to make runs back and forth while photos were taken.

It was here at this location that a car pulled in alongside the photographer's van and one of the passengers got out.
He gave us a funny stare, and started aggressivly taking photos with what looked like a fancy camera. I wondered if he had read this thread.

By this time traffic was getting too congested, so we decided to call it a day.
In a couple of days we will meet one last time to photo in the Racecourse (Deadmans, Carls, Bowmont). However it may be night driving. Heh, Heh.
