Picture Disc LPs
When King of the Mountain hit the Theaters, Universal produced Long Playing Records in Picture Disc Format.
They actually play and highlight the songs that were sung in the Movie. Deborah Van Valkenburgh played the female lead in King of the Mountain. She played an up and coming Hollywood Singer in the Studio. These are the actual recordings done in that Studio. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1628457627.jpg Here are a few of these Picture Discs from the Movie. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1628458236.jpg |

I saw an Italian Poster up on eBay recently, maybe still available.
I would love to use the artwork, but put the personal cars onto it, and pictures of a younger me and the fiance I had back in my prime days of doing this. |

I would make runs on the racecourse if it were a real operational car. Why not? I would change a lot also. Run what you brung! I like the concept because I have been in many cars that may have began as a bunch of Misc Odd Parts Assembled Recklessly, and then some. |
On the Edge
Recently a friend brought me the June 1979 Car Craft Issue.
Nothing on the cover mentions Mulholland. I used to Subscribe to Car Craft but I don't remember this particular Issue. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1632853901.jpg |
On the Edge
I looked thru the Table of Contents.
On Page 73 an Article called Mulholland After Dark came to my attention. The Article is subtitled, "On the Ragged Edge", which was one of my favorite things to say in the old days. The saying refers to driving at your fastest and testing the Edge where you go faster and faster, sometimes crashing from overconfidence. It's important to know your limits. Not many wanted to get back in for a second time. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1632855745.jpg |
On the Edge
This is the Article called, On the Edge by Neil Britt.
Nice Cover Photo. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1632856767.jpg |
