Latest purchase
Haven't been around here in a while. Can't believe it's still going!
Just wanted to let y'all know about my latest project. Picked this up a few months ago. 1982 Mustang GT Enduro DSO. Ford Factory M81 (McLaren Mustang) wide-body. One of, to my estimates, less than 15 existing. No more than 20 ever made. It's been sitting in storage for many years. Lotta work to do. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1641409677.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1641409978.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1641410135.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1641410135.jpg |

Eddie and his wife Ercie are still going strong. His idea of retirement and slowing down is racing open wheel cars. He really has been blessed with talent and a lifetime of *****'n toys. He is amazing because he is 85 years old (only a couple years younger than my Dad) and hasn't run out of talent or road. |
I thought would like it.
We've talked on here before, but i registered under kcassady. I hadn't been on in a while. I tried log in but again the site wasn't having it so. its kjcf50 now. Hope your doing well! Banzai runners forever!!!! |

In honor of the co-founder of the instrumental rock group the Ventures Don Wilson who passed away back in January one of the album covers was shot on Mulholland Drive.
The Ventures in Space Album The T-Bucket used on the cover belonged to Bob Collins and in 1964 was shot on Mulholland Drive The best-selling album’s alluring cover featured a romantic young couple in a striking white T-Bucket parked high on Mulholland Drive overlooking the lights of the vast L.A. Basin. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1648021388.jpg |
Howdy! I'm a young car enthusiast, 15 and don't even have my license yet. Last year on my birthday, I got to sit in a 79' 930 Turbo silver with red interior and I've been in love ever since. Ive been to my fair share of events since then, PCA, concours, cars and coffee and whatnot around my neck of the woods in New England. I even met Rod Emory, the outlaw himself. I found Mr. Banning's RSR thru the internet about a week ago. I just saw the chopped roof and I was like, wow, I can tell this car's got a story to tell. So, I searched up "chopped roof 911" and found this thread, and there is no surprise when I say I fell down a Mulholland racing rabbit hole. The Mulholland guys back in the 70s have a lot of similarity to young car enthusiasts today- more than you would expect. And if Mr. Banning ends up reading this, I'd like him to know that his RSR is probably one of my favorite Porsches now that I know the whole story. Anyways, just figured I'd keep up the thread by introducing myself. Kind of funny how this thread was running even before I was born!

Speaking as the guy that started this thread, that’s amazing… and now I feel old. What the hell? Hahaha. Welcome aboard.
