This thread has the potential to really degrade on several issues.

I, for one, would love to see that, especially if it involves pictures of CC again.

I am surprised you liked the GS Rick. I test rode a couple of them, and it just didn't feel substanial enough to me. If that makes sense. It was just too light and the wind was blowing me all over the place, the gauges moved around too much.

I would still prefer an GS Adventure like Motion's (or for that matter an older GS like my 2004 I had) to one of the newer ones. The 1200's are much better for off road, but I have the dirt bike for that.

Bill, when I went to pick my own 1150R up from my storage garage after my trip, it felt WAAAAYYY different to me. The GS was like driving a 996 after being used to an SC. My bike makes me work a lot harder for everything, but I also feel the satisfaction and hear it better. Still, I'm all about safety and the extra height and ABS on the GS makes me feel a little safer.

Somewhere I have a photo of that friend of mine with me when I vomitted on her shoes in college. She's a good sport. I also vomitted on her living room carpet about 10 yrs. ago after a rowdy night of boozing at a Cheap Trick show in SF. Yes, a true friend who tolerates me. In fact, it was one of ex bf's who intriduced me to SIG Sauer pistols in college.

Rick:

Great shots (including your college buddy..) & sounds like a great trip on all counts. What routes did you take?

Vegas BMW still good to do business with? I may need to see them this May!

All I know is that we took almost no highways. Whatever small road leads through the park to Overton is how we went. Loved the dealership too.
