Terry, some of the most charming people I have known were crooks and con men. Stuff here is pretty tame compared to stuff posted in that last link.

Sounds to be like the recently departed was a scam artist of the first degree. Wonder if he could have faked his death to escape all the people he ripped off, sounds like plenty of them.
And you base this on what???

The guy was a self made man, had patents that made him very rich, he had fun the way most of us could only dream of. Dennis said it best, and yes, he will me missed.

I base it on the fact that half the comments on his memorial site were people alleging to be victims. Maybe they were just haters, who can say.

When I die, plenty of people might say, "Good riddance, he was an a-hole." Won't be a single one saying I did them wrong, not one.

And for anybody to speak of someone in such a manner who just passed shows true lack of character and maturity.

@Justsin Green:
You have no idea. I (and several others in the bay area) have worked to try and help people he’s conned track him down. He used my high-tech companies as ‘his’ story. I found this out when I got a call from Vegas, where he was trying a con. That clown left a wake of other people’s money where he went – talk to stanford european – where that douche crashed a ruf turbo r (the only one in the country at the time) driving like an idoit on city streets. I was in the car, I know. He skipped town, leaving them with a high five figure bill. Check the court records, ass wipe. Give some of the hospitals in the bay area a call, where he bragged he left six figure bills unpaid from another accident. Try the guy in so cal he tried to con for six figures to buy ‘race horses’ – that dude is still lokking for him. How about the diablo that he had to keep hidden in a storage rental, since it was never paid for – conned from a guy in so cal. Call the cadillac dealer he scammed out of an escalade. The stories like this are myriad. No more of a loss than if Ahmadinejad took a cruise missile to the head.

I know first hand he was a con man considering he conned me out of $27,600 and then disappeared. There is no denying he was a con man. Say what you want to say but that’s the hard facts.

david peters said on June 28th, 2010 at 4:11 am
I am sure his fiance is heartbroken and I feel bad for people that will miss him. But Alex was a con man without boundaries. He ripped off cars, money, identities, addresses and other people’s lives. He lived a lie and talked a lie. He still has cars stashed away and hundreds of thousands of dollars owed to people he duped-and he was in hiding. He lied about his past, his present and –well there is no more future. Just a path of destruction he left for a lot of people. Want some of the lies public? Where to start. I am sure the fiance had no clue. This news will be met with lots of hostility toward Alex because he was a total scam. Sounds like you just got the good part of a really sick guy. He was a grifter, scammer and total con artist.

david peters said on June 28th, 2010 at 4:17 am
I think I ought to add to the above comment that this is my personal opinion based upon my own observation, personal experience, face to face conversation in my house with Alex and the people he ripped off and experiences of trying to find the guy and where he was hiding out other people’s cars pretending he was the owner. I don’t want you to think I am sour grapes or anything but I know what I am talking about. He forged documents (titles) and tried to sell other people’s cars as his own collection. Like some of the ones on the you tube videos. Shameful. Did I mention the ‘business ventures’ where he con’d your money and there was NOTHING at the other end except his dust heading out of town? Saw it for myself.

I did not know the guy or anything about him before these threads but others who claim to have known him well paint a much different picture than you do. They make claims that are 180 degrees from what you say about him. Someone is obviously way off.
Did you know him other than a screen name on the inter-webs?

Did he tell you that?

I've been in the business 20 years and have never heard of the guy and he's also not listed anywhere, not even once in the industries credits database.

There are 4 other Djordjevics with different first names listed but none of them have credits on titles that would have generated any where near the kind of coin that Alexander is alleged to have had.

Well-put. And precisely my sentiments. I could care less if I'm not liked. I occasionally care if I'm not respected. I definitely care if I don't respect myself - and ripping off other people is a guaranteed way I'd never respect myself.

Like I said before - karma. That's all I'll say.

Applause? Really? Also sounds like he doesn't know how a rev-limiter works. I'll be laughing when he gets the insurance bill for wrapping it around a pole.

Apparently not! I was reading this on my phone while it was 1 page. All of a sudden there's 3.

I would say that after reading the comments on that other site, he does sound extremely sketchy and like a BS artist and thief. Unfortunately, I tend to believe it.

If somebody died owing me a lot of dough, I would probably sue the estate, get in line, so to speak.

If he has kids, that is too bad, kids should have parents, not one or the other.

I was about to write that this story could certainly be me if I that kind of money. The driving stupid fast cars like an idiot and all that, but if there's a shred of truth about the con man then it certainly wouldn't be me.

Anybody who's ridden with me knows I don't see much point in having 500+ hp if it's not to lay down 12" wide stripes of rubber all over town.
