Aftermarket stuff I personally don't like includes Carrera badges on SCs, Cup wheels instead of Fuchs, roller-skate wheels with tatty stock brakes, radio or cellphone aerials drilled through the roof of non-sunroof coupes & badly-done paint.

on the older ones
rust on the ones I can afford
prices on the ones I can't

the way they gain weight over the years
like a middle age woman
at the prices charged for the newer ones
the car should weight a lot less NOT MORE
where is the carbonfiber and unubtainum parts
they sure price the parts
like they are made of rare costly stuff

I don't like monkey poo on 911's nor do I like dents. I don't like the big fat rubber bumper things. I don't like hard water deposits or acid rain.

I think maybe we should talk about things we like on 911's like....chiffon white paint.

Honestly, I like just about every interpretation of the 911. Old. New. Coupes, Targas, Cabs. No tail, Duck, Whale, Tea Tray. Fuchs, Fikses. Narrowbody, Widebody. Carbs, MFI, CIS, Motronic.

I really don't care if you're narrow-minded enough to think your type of 911 is the only "real" 911. I like your car and I like mine.

Every time I see a 911, any 911, I smile and feel compelled to gawk at it. But that's just me.

Oh yea, almost forgot. What don't I like about 911's in general? Hmm. Let's see...the steering wheel on just about every stock 911 ever to come out of the factory. Yuck! Leaky windshield seals. The fact that there is really nowhere good to brace your dead foot.

That's about it, I suppose. I can't really think of anything else.

Victor....

I am not deluded.

Most of the people who know me here and in person will tell you that I love all the Porsches, not just 914s.... And they know that I am just joking with the 911 drivers. It is friendly ribbing from one Porsche lover to another.

You need to take a serious look at your ego and reevaluate why you own a 911.... Do you have a bunch of gold chains, a bad comb over and some mirrored aviator sunglasses? Or did you buy it because of some inferiority complex?

Attitudes like yours give 911 drivers a really bad name.

The only problem with that is....no one cares !

Are you talking about the silver car that will be in an up-coming
issue of Excellence ?

What on earth will you do then ?
I suggest you take all of your Excellence back issues & throw them in that trash can you put your old Rgruppe sticker in.

Things I'd like to see better on my 911SC:

--a smoother transmission/gearbox

--updated fuel injection

--a better heating/cooling system--with fresh air coming through the center vents (I just use the ac blower to do that--without any Freon in my ac. who needs it with a sunroof?)

Styling? Don't change it. This car would sell today brand new with the above updates--without all that streamlining for drag, and the bigger engine.

Sounds like a G50 3.2 would solve your problems.

I drove a 996 and was very impressed with the performance. However, I did not like the disconnected feeling with all of the luxuries. I prefer the grittiness of my SC.

I do not like the heater controls and vent sliders.

This maybe not be on it but i'd hate to see a fat chick in a 911, i've never had one in mine and i hope you guys are doing your part to keep the weight towards the rear like the factory intended.

I can't say i remember seeing a fat chick in 911 and hope to never have to submit my eyes to such a horrible tradegy.
