The guy on that video and his buddy in the silver Cab are the rich equivalent of the idiot pair of teenagers cruising Friday night with a paintball gun or a fire extinguisher. The only difference is that instead of driving a clapped out Gremlin these sphincter faces have a half a million dollar fire extinguisher.

The guy got it squirrely a few times on city streets and could have easily lost it and run up over the curb into innocent pedestrians or through a shop window. I hope someone gets startled by this a$$clown, walks up to him afterward and puts him on his butt.

Maybe it's this dickhead....
No it was not Alex's (owner of the CGT in vid) car. The attention a CGT with straight pipes is sick and the car never looks out of control.

You're right. He's never ridiculously and obviously out of control. But the couple of times he lights 'em up on Wilshire and Beverly (?) aren't really bright things to be doing on city streets. I'm going out on a total limb here, but I'm guessing you'd probably wouldn't see Hurley Haywood doing something stupid like that. And there are certainly lots of people who have done exactly what your buddy did, and wound up having an "off."

The couple times he revs the motor (starting up on Sunset Plaza and along Wilshire by Rodeo) are just obnoxious. Heck, I've got a motorcycle with an equally glorious soundtrack, but it's not like I go around gratuitously revving it in urban areas to get bystanders to "Look at ME!"

Alan Jackson was wrong; too much of a good thing isn't necessarilly a good thing. Racing has shown that even the world's best drivers on racing tracks can't drive much beyond 200 mph and so racing cars are purposely slowed by formula to keep drivers from killing themselves. Most drivers on normal roads driving at 150mph+ speeds will soon crash. It's simple physics.

What the F****??? It reminds me of being 17 and the stupid things we used to do in our cars except that was in a 72 impala worth maybe $800. Bad form.

There should be a test of character to weed out potential bad apple buyers of such beautiful machines and a "no you can't drive it anymore, you're not deserving" program.

Automotive technology, and the resultant performance capabilities when that technology is fully utilized, long ago surpassed what even professional race drivers are capable of controling. There is not a racing series on the planet that is unrestricted anymore, and there has not been since at least the '70's. Hladun is spot on; they learned long ago what the limits are, irrespective of the machines.

Now we are seeing road going cars and bikes that surpass the performance allowed by the various sanctioning bodies of their higher level pro divisions. Small wonder so many get wrecked. That's all well and good, as I'll never swim in that end of the pool anyway, but it is bringing undue attention to our sport/hobby.

If it keeps going like this we will all soon feel the affects. To the powers that be, a Porsche is a Porsche is a Porsche; my 35 year old 911 won't be exempt when they decide to "do something about" the carnage.

Where's the dumptruck pulling out from an obscured road entrance when you need it?

Darwin will take care of this fool.

Too bad.

Tell him to go out and drive more. Maybe we can get him to take his pollutant genes out of the pool before he has a chance to reproduce and taint subsequent generations. . .

There's a Darwin Award out there waiting with his name on it - hopefully he crashes spectacularly enough to be worthy of it.

And no, it's not jealousy - it's a dissatisfaction with the stupidity that surrounds us constantly.

I'm actually slightly embarrassed to drive a Porsche after this clown did his little stunt.

And we wonder why Porsche drivers are called pricks?
